I get teams want to try to hire their head coach right away but sort of wish there was a freeze till up till after the Conference Championship game. That 2 week span between the CG and superbowl would be the better time to allow teams to interview.

I like Quinn the DC. But but not sure he would be my choice as HC if Payton and Harbaugh are interested.

I find it so bizarre that the NFL allows coaches that are currently still you know. COACHING. To go on interviews. This should be changed to teams that are no longer in the playoffs. I remember before the rams game Kris Richard interviewed in Miami that week and our D came out and allowed 200 yards on the ground. After stopping the best running team in football the week prior. You can say it doesnt impact anything if you want. I disagree

Quinn appears to enjoy his role in Dallas, and I'd be genuinely surprised if he goes anywhere. Particularly to a dumpster fire like the Denver Broncos. He seems to be a much better DC than HC.

I've never fully understood why coordinators (aside from former HCs) get exclusive consideration for vacant HC positions. Are they not completely different job descriptions and skill-set requirements?

This means that if the Cowboys win tonight, a part of Dan Quinn's time will be focused on interviewing with the Broncos, on a short week in which Dallas would have to prepare for the 49ers.
Yup.

It's not just the flight and the interview. Dude has to prep for his interview also.

Crap.

That news may impact the defense's focus tonight. Maybe not. Wish he would have waited until the team's run was done but he should look out for his career first.
Tomorrow morning he can focus better after we're going home

lol. I could give a rat's patootie about Quinn's concentration. I am confident of his ability to do his job while thinking about his upcoming interview. Any concern I have is centered entirely upon how his unit's focus might be subliminally distracted in any degree about the possibility of his departure.
