Glad to hear it.

Vander Esch left with a neck injury, watching the second half on the sideline in street clothes. Quinn went out with a rib injury

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones does not expect the injuries to be serious.

“I don’t see that,” Jones said.

The Cowboys have a bye in Week Eight, so the players will have two weeks to get healed up before they play the Giants.

Vander Esch said after the game he does not expect his injury to be an ongoing issue and would not undergo further tests Monday.

“I would’ve kept playing if it was up to me,” Vander Esch said, via Todd Archer of ESPN.

Yay!

A bit if history I didn't know or just forgot came up in the game - they said LVE had a history of neck issues. Now that I think about it, I remember someone (AKOYE?) criticizing his play and how he stuck his head into tackles, and how he needed to get untrained on that or it was going to be a problem.

That's great news. I'm sure everyone is a little beat up some more than others. Tyrone, La'el, Byron, Martin , Cobb, Cooper were all listed as questionable and Brown was ruled out. This bye week at just about the halfway point falls at a very good time for us. Hopefully we can go on a run and finish no worse than seven of nine, Borg pun intended:)

Excellent.

Lee filled in well for Vander Esch but I was more afraid of any neck issues that could linger.

Sure they had access to xray last night for the rib injury

Lee > LVE......glad they are both on our team but there was a difference with Lee in the game. Glad the kid is ok we are going to need him as we make a playoff push

yep on the radio right now fisher said Leighton was ready to go back in the game and they told him to stay out the game was at hand. No reason to press it and he was a little frustrated because he wanted back in.

I don't believe LVE has any history of neck issues as reported. Possibly a knee jerk comment by whoever that sideline reporter was based on nothing other than the specific injury he had just incurred and that neck thing he wears. From my understanding, he wears that neck contraption simply as a precaution.

This is great news for both of them and the team as well. I had been pretty concerned that our defense wouldn't be the same with both of them being unable to perform. Having both of them back with an extra week to recuperate should serve their cause well. Enjoy the win, friends, and savor it throughout the bye week -- I'm 100% certain I will, too. It'll be on to the Giants and Daniel Jones in two weeks! ;)
