He's basically a baller, so he's not going to prop the defenses play up by beating a dead horse (Eberflus' defense in this case).

He's also smart and understands that minus Overshown, the LBs are trash, the CBs are trash or hobbled, and the safeties are aging and probably don't fit this scheme well or both.

It's really not all on Eberflus, but Eberflus has a horrible feel for the game or has lost his mojo.

EX: Not putting pressure on rookie and backup QBs on 3rd and 4th downs has to be the most frustrating thing we witnessed all season.

Well, that's why the moves that the front office makes are just as important, if not more so, as coaching. If you don't have the players to handle what you are doing, then you are not going to do it well. Good coaching can make good players look better, bad coaching can make good players look worse. Bad coaching and bad players result in one of the worst defensive seasons in team history.
