I had to look up the thread I started 5 months ago about everyones favorite 5-6 month topic, quitting smoking.Well, here it goes. After 5 months of trying and struggling, I'm finally seeing some success. Its been 3 weeks and I've had very little temptation to buy a pack. The most important thing is I finally reached my goal,TO QUIT!!!I feel much better, and Im able to smell things I hadnt in a long time. Thanks for all of your input,I used all of it and found my own way.

Good job, Doug. Don't ever let up, and eventually you won't even think about them anymore.

Debilitating hand cramps huh... :(

Bummer...

I smoke a pipe (tobacco you hippies). Not often - once a week, sometimes every couple of days, just when I get a chance.

Not looking to quit or anything, I'm happy with it.

But I wanted to point out that there are studies that claim pipe smokers live longer than average folks.

I have a guess at who funded those studies.
