If anyone is interested....

Here are the rankings of the top rated NFL Mock drafters over the last 3 years. To me, it says more about contacts than anything. But it's still more trivia to entertain us.

Is this for all 7 rounds or only 1st or first 2 or 3 rounds?
I just looked it up. It's for 1st round only. I'd like to see a 3 round one, but the scores would be really terrible. Anything beyond that is impossible.
Of course, if you do well in the 1st round, there is some carry over to later rounds.

The formula was
Each pick can score 1 or 3 points. Here is how: Player in round = 1 / Player in round 1 + matched to team 2 = 3 points

Here's the link and explanation.

Who cares if they got the team right... I'd be more interested in knowing if they were right about which ones would be good players and which ones wouldn't.

So you got it right that the Cowboys would take Bobby Carpenter... Big deal. He still sucks.

Isn't Boylhart who runs the Huddle Report? If so, that finish was rather embarassing.
:muttley: details.
They did rate 52 people in total, so his 22nd place finish was more like a "C" among peers. He placed 5th last year, so he really stunk it up in '08 and '07.

No doubt.

That's hard to quantify, but it'd sure be fun to see.

As you stated, picking where someone is going to be drafted does not reflect your personal thoughts on said players' NFL future.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I'd never heard of some of these. A couple of the people he finished near are Fantasy Football writers from USA Today.

Yes, Fantasy Football writers. Not people who run one of the supposedly more respected draft sites.

I have never been impressed with the Huddle Report, now I am even less impressed.

Yes, but the majority of these (and that includes Gosselin) never put their neck out on the line and say what they think about these players. That is not how the game is played and it would be difficult to evaluate performance using that criteria.

Even those that sometimes do, like Kiper, have got more and more conservative over the years and avoid being overly opinionated.

Goose does so well because he just asks GMs and scouts and puts it all as he hears it down. I doubt he puts anything of his own in it at all.
