After calming down and taking awhile to think it over, I've come to realize one thing about our defense. We have very few "playmakers". Jimmy Johnson was big on getting "playmakers" and it's something that helped win 3 Lombardi's. It's also obvious that our defense lacks "playmakers". How many do we REALLY have on our D? One, two? I give Ware and Roy. Newman is a good corner, but is he a playmaker? Anyone else? I can't think of any.

It just seems that, lately, whenever the D needs a play, they can't make one.

Thoughts?

this has been covered alot, but we dont make plays because the coaches dont put them in positions to make plays...sure they drop an occasional int, but so does everyone else

this is the most vanilla, conservative, "dont take a chance" defense in the NFL, hands down...and we get beat down because of it
