"Quarterback" Of 3-4 Defense?

Can anybody tell me who has the role of "quarterbacking" the 3-4 defense and calling the signals on the field like the MLB does in the 4-3? There are 2 ILBs...does one of them just get designated by the coach to have that responsibility?

Yeah. Bradie will probably continue to do them, Akin is new, makes sense to leave Bradie in that role.

I could see Carpenter potentially taking over that role. I beleive he made the calls for OSU.
