"Scab" Officials?

I wouldn't be shocked if they were better.

Part of the reason I think the officiating sucks is because the officials try too hard to get things right.

Was that holding penalty influential on the play?

Was that really incidental contact?

Was the QB trying to avoid pressure when he threw the ball away?

The rules need to be dumbed down as it is. Having guys who may not sit there and weigh a million different variables might be beneficial.

Imagine how bad the league front office will look if they end up going with scab refs, and they're better :laugh1:

and they will be worse then what we have?

I'd be concerned but what are really losing here?

Yeah as don't know which is worse. REAL ones or Scab ones. If the former wants wants to call themselves "real!"
After all the mistakes they make in a game?!:D

Can't imagine that is even remotely possible.
Sometimes the devil you know if infinitely better than the devil you don't. If replacements are brought in, they will likely be primarily from the college ranks and I see no evidence that officiating in college - which is easier to officiate since it is a much slower game - is any better than what we have in the NFL.
