If Dallas does make a deal with the Titans and sends say a
3rd for Pac-man and doesn't trade up for DMAC, I could see this happing:

#28-traded to Atlanta for #37 and #48
------------------------------------------------------------------------
#22-DeSean Jackson

#37-Chris Johnson
#48-Antoine Cason
#61-Justin King

Pac-man for a third rounder.

How would you guys feel about this draft?

If only there was a way to get all 6 of these players.....talk about WOW players....our youth, athleticism, and team speed, and versatility would increase tremendously

RB Jamaal Charles
RB/KR Chris Johnson
FB Owen Schmitt
WR Limas Sweed
CB/KR DRC
CB Antione Cason

I will be stoked with getting
Cason
Charles/Johnson
Schmitt

I don't think any trade with Tenn would happen until after the draft, if Pacman is re-instated. The pick or picks would be in 2009 and probably be conditional. With the extra pick from Ferguson and the comp picks we should get next year, I would send a couple late rounders to Tenn.

As for your picks, we won't take both Jackson and Johnson and Cason won't be there at #48. Unless Atlanta needs to trade up to get a QB they really want, they won't do that deal.

If we traded for Jones why would we then turn around and spend two 2nd rd picks on CB's?

Sorry, I hate the idea

Probably so dallas has someone to fall back on when Jones gets banned.

If thats the case then you dont trade for him in the first place. You only trade for him if your reasoably sure he can be turned around...otherwise its painfully stupid to even make the move

Give me Cason/Jenkins at #22 then give me Hardy at #28 and Ray Rice in the 2nd and call it a day. That would be insanely good.

Then when the PacMan thing gets a little more clear we give up 6th in next year draft.

Henry is older and has lost a step. Also, it would be a good idea to have CB flexibility in case you don't want to pay Newman 11 or 12 million per year. Don't get me wrong - I really like Newman, but it might be hard to pay him (and keep everyone else). If we can get two or even three very good corners out of this draft, we might not retain Newman. This would assume that you hit on the drafted CBs, but it seems that you have a better shot at this if you take them high. It is much easier to get cheaper free agents at some other positions and use your high draft picks for CBs, OTs, maybe WRs, Rush ends (OLB or DE depending on scheme).

That would be great we are going to have to trade up in the 2nd round to get Rice though.

Q: Who trades a 3rd round pick for a guy coming off a year long suspension who has yet to be reinstated?

A: An idiot.

Who can argue with such a cogent statement?

Pac-man is a corner who was the 6th pick in the first round. Personally,
I don't think the Titans would take less. They'll let him go to free agency.

Are you saying Pac-man is not worth the risk of a 3rd round pick? I would disagree with you. He wants to play here, and he's up against the wall.

I could understand that you taking 2CBs early and trading for Pac-man might be profuse, but here's what I think.

If Pac-man worked, that's great, but he's not a sure thing.
Cason and King would be good back-up and could be worked in. Dallas lost Nate and Reeves. Henry gets hurt often. King could project to Safety also.

Often teams like the Packers go five wide. You need depth- and not Reeves kind of depth. We need better talent in nickle and dime packages.

Also, if you hit on one of these corners, it will help you out tremendously for the salary cap. I love Newman, but I wouldn't want us to pay Henry 10 millon a year just so we don't have a gaping hole at corner.

Well, if the Falcons just got a 2nd for Hall there is no chance we give up anything more than a 6/7th round pick.

Everyone knew that Atlanta was going to unload Hall because of problems with management, and they still got a 2nd rounder.

Pac-man is as talented. He's 24 and never been seriously injured.

There's a team out there that will give up more than a 6th or 7th for the
chance of getting a high-caliber corner. This isn't Tank Johnson or a damaged Javon Walked. I would even anticipate a pick and a player.

But it is a player who is one indiscretion away from possibly a very, very lengthy ban if not a ban for life.

The Titans would be lucky to get a fourth for PacMan right about now.

At any rate, I don't want him anywhere near a Cowboys uniform, unless he purchases one from Ebay. ;)

Players who come back from year-long suspensions rarely do well. And usually end up screwing up again. His value was low before the suspension. He's a problem away from a longer ban and he didn't show enough positive to get reinstated.

Yes, that's the guy you give a 3rd for. Right.
