Prescott is the first priority to contain.

Can the Eagles contain Pescott?

“I just know we’ve got to get after him in the pocket because that’s where he makes his hay,” said defensive end Ryan Kerrigan

Oh, but stopping the run is also a priority!
If it’s not Elliott, it’ll be Pollard. ESPN Philly’s Tim McManus makes this bold prediction:

Dallas running back Tony Pollard will have more than 150 total yards. That’s well within the realm of possibility after he rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown with 31 receiving yards last week against the Chargers. The Eagles’ zone-based scheme forces the opponent to methodically work its way down the field. There are yards to be had in the run game and underneath in the pass game, and Pollard will take advantage.

If Pollard or Zeke goes off and does get 150 yards. It means they are possibly winning. If the defenses is doing their job and stopping Hurts and his offense.

:grin::grin::grin: Reminds me of those times when that pesky Sproles was on the field!

The only thing I have to say about this, is that Sproles could actually return KO's and make the right decision.

But it is nice to have a player like that on our team for once. :D

Pollard is what they wanted from Lance Dunbar, but never got.

We struggle on third down against mobile QBs, and Anthony Brown terrifies me against speed WRs. I still think we win, but this one will probably be another down to the wire game.

love pollard. he’s not getting 150 though
But he might. I only saw them last week, so I'm not really up on what their D is all about. My understanding is that their strength is mainly the D-line. If Pollard (or Zeke) gets to the 2nd level, I can see him racking up some yards.

Their DC comes from our former Defensive Asst Eberflus who learned under Marinelli. They will look to take away the big play and force teams to drive the entire field. Yards against won't mean much, rather then scoring TD's over FG attempts.

This game is about the Cowboys defense. We have to be honest about the losses to COVID and injury. They are missing 6 guys from the defensive line rotation, including multiple starters. They will be playing a rookie who has not played an NFL down, preseason or regular season, in place of their best defensive lineman. Golston is a 3rd round pick and expectations should be low. The Cowboys are also missing Neal, a starting LB and Donovan Wilson, a starting safety who is strong against the run. If the Eagles do not come out just running the ball down the Cowboys' throats I will be shocked. The only reason why they may throw some deep bombs is because Brown has been burned before and they may fear the Cowboys ability to move the ball on offense. But against the Cowboys banged up defense, I do not see how the Eagles offensive line does not dominate the LOS.

One other point, while the Cowboys are missing so many players on both sides of the ball, I expect the TV announcers will be talking only about the Eagles injuries to Brooks and Graham. All we heard about the Eagles last year was how many different OL combinations they started, but they had few OL injuries than Dallas. They chose to try different combos while the cowboys tried to minimize the changes.

Our D is giving up 400+ yards/g still. Can’t count on those turnovers every week. They need to step up and make some big strides with defensive stops sooner than later. Offense is good but we can’t expect them to score 30 every game. D has to get off the field tomorrow.

2 games in our D is not there yet. Just pray that the turnovers keep coming while they get their act together.

So if we're running the ball extremely well and shutting down their offense defensively we're probably winning?

Never stop serving these nuggets.

He's taking Prescott into account, dude. You just never know with that guy. Seems your influence has finally worked on some around here.

Also, half the defense is unavailable this game. Lol. We are going to have to overcome with offense this game indeed. I don't see any way around it.

You are welcome, glad to be able to keep you informed. You seem to need it.
