For every outside FA you sign it cancels out a comp picks for someone you lost.
Dowdles contract was 1yr 2.75m so it was probably one of the first cancelled out!
And there wasn't anything really all that spectacular about Dowdle's season. He barely eclipsed 1000 yards in 17 games!
His biggest accomplishment was not getting hurt and missing significant time for the 2nd consecutive season!
