Julius had a great run for a first down on third-and-10 in the second quarter, but it was wiped out by a holding call away from the play.

I'd like to see a few more sweeps and draws for him, though. Everything is right up the middle so far.
What's interesting is I see Barber more likely to bounce it outside than Julius. Is that by design or is he improvising? When Barber runs it up the gut, his ypc seem to be about the same as Julius.

Sometimes I like it when Barber goes outside, but there are some others when he kills me with the dancing around in the backfield or bouncing it outside only to get the same 2 yards he could've gotten by going up the gut.

Guess it's not exciting enough.

Marion Barber does.

It's Jones that doesn't finish.

Dallas, don't exaggerate please. First, it was JJ didn't make a single play all night and now Marion Barber converts EVERY 3rd down. Your argument is strong enough without blatant misstatements.

But when it mattered and this team REALLY needed him to get some yards. He folded up like an old lawn chair.

He had only one carry when we "really" needed him to get yards -- a third-and-3, when he got 2 yards.

For this game at least, Barber seemed to be more of the feature back. We'll see how that plays out as the season progresses. Garrett seems to be an OC that goes with what works. If the means Barber over Jones, then the workload will reflect it.

Roy is what he is.

The season is early folks. I couldn't give a damn about the FFL impact. Just let the team win and leave the East in the dust.

RW had an ok game. He did read that int pretty good before jumping it. He read Green the whole way. Green never saw him.

J Jones had a good game? Ummmm what did he do that was so key for this Dallas offense?

He avg'd 2.2 ypc.

He did not make 1 freakin play today for this club. Not 1 time.

dude...he made several good runs to start the game and had an awesome catch and run...he had a 3rd down and long run for a first down wiped out by a penalty

2.1 ypc. 1 24 yrd screen play. 3.5 yrd per touch if you include the catch. Thats awful. Not to mention the 3rd and 3 when he had the 3 but jumped and turned and came short instead of lowering his head and getting the 1st.

6.3 ypc. 5.9 yrds per touch. I think we know who did this.

Why do Jones apologist keep insisting hes a big play threat but yet Barber makes all the big plays?

I really have trouble disliking ANY Dallas Cowboys. I go out and root for them to have the best game ever, every week.
Unfortunately somepeople love to see others fail.

I dont get why everyone who's a fan of the team isnt like this

its like I said in a thread a few weeks ago...some people in this forum genuinely wish failure on some of our players, so they can come back and crow left and right to say this guy shouldnt play or that guy they wanted on draft day should have been picked instead

makes no sense to me whatsoever

I don't wish failure on anybody. I would love nothing more than to see JuJo return to the player he was when he was a rookie where he showed flashes of becoming a great back with good field vision and the ability to find the holes.

However, the player who gives us the ability to sustain drives and make key plays to help us win is the one I want on the field, period. Right now, that player is Barber. Results matter in this league, and right now JJ isn't measuring up.
