Round 1 tradeup from 27 to 22, trading 27th pick of the draft and 2nd round 2011 the Dallas Cowboys select:

Round 1:
OG Mike Iupati 6'6 330 LBS
We could also trade Koiser and instead of a 2nd a 3rd round pick. He may not start in 2010 over Koiser if we do not trade him away, but Iupati will become a dominant force on our O-line for a decade.

Round 2:
FS Nate Allen 6'1 203 LBS
A great value pick, in this insanely deep safety draft we can not come out of the first two rounds without a safety without being insane.

Round 3:
OT Jason Fox 6'7 314 LBS
Projected as a 1st round pick, fell to become projected as a very early 2nd round pick and then his heart issue set him free falling til around here. For a former 1st round prospect who can play, this is a FANTASTIC pick, can be groomed to take the LT position while Free gets groomed to play RT or vice versa, with Iupati already drafted this has our O-Line set starting in 2011 as Fox/Iupati/Gurode/Davis/Free or reverse Free and Fox.

Round 4:
WR/KR/PR Trindon Holliday 5'5 159 LBS
We need a Kick Returner, he is the fastest guy in the draft may be a reach since he is projected to be a 5th rounder but since Al Davis is lurking he may already be gone (as Adam Schefter already said watch out Al may trade up to the first overall pick to take Holliday so no one takes him!)

6th round:
DT Jay Ross East Carolina 6'6 322 LBS
With two o-linemen picked we will not be selecting another!
Jay Ross more than likely will never develop into a starting NT in the NFL, but we do need someone who will be able to play a few downs a game to keep the All-Pro DT Jay Ratliff rested and Jay Ross will be able to do that.

7th round:
We got two choices here, if we believe in Buehler we can go top CornerBack available in that case I like Brandon Brinkley out of Houston. If we do not trust in the Buehler being able to take over the reigns of Kicker we can select Hunter Lawrence out of Texas.

nice draft but there is no chance Mike Iupati will be available when dallas drafts. he only reason he wont be the first OL taken is because hes not a tackle. i say 10-15 for him when all is said and done.

Top 3 guys may be really good.
They'd have to trade up some if they hoped to get both Iupati and Allen, imo.

I think we could do better than Holliday in the 4th.

I say only draft players that you think at the very least have the potential to some day start. But then again, I'm not so sure Jay Ross does not have that type of potential anyway.

comments from Walter Cherepinsky of http://www.BAN-INCOMING-IN-3-2-1

Brian,

Looks pretty good. All the picks make sense and I can't find any flaws. Nice job.

Thanks,

Walt

I am awaiting a response to my reply
Thanks Walter

on the topic people are mentioning that Nate Allen will be off the board by the time we pick in the 2nd, is that the case?

Love the first three picks but Iupati is going to be gone before 27 IMO. And Nate Allen is going to see nowhere near the end of the 2nd. I'd love to drop out of the first and grab Allen in the top of the second. That'd give us an extra pick in the third for an OL or even a WR. There is going to be a run on OTs in this draft IMO but we can still get a good one in the second and an interior lineman in the third.
