No Comeback by Tiger Woods was ever going to be complete without a major. Now the question becomes how many more can he win.
The next two are at Bethpage and Pebble Beach where he was won before.
Woods winning his 5th Masters was not entirely out of the blue. He capped last year by winning the Tour Championship in typical Tiger fashion. He also briefly led in the final round in British Open and was one shot behind on the back nine at PGA Championship last summer.
“Getting to 18 is only easier because Woods is one major closer” said caddie Joe LaCava.” ...now we can start thinking about 16.. so getting closer”.
“Nobody wants their record broken “ said Nicklaus” but I certainly don’t root against anyone and wouldn’t want Tiger hurt and not be able to”.
