Yea but lets be realistic. When someone talks about you, you always take the negative stuff more then the positive stuff. No one wants to be grilled and if you listen to Brian Mitchell he always criticizes the skins more than he gives praise to the players. Its understandable for Portis to get mad. Zorn even called him and some other Commanders Radio guy.

Bull. He flat out didn't want to hear it. His mind was made up, he wasn't man enough to let the man speak without whining like a little girl. Even over John Thompson of all people. Big John told him that B Mitch praised him like no other. It was like his fingers were in his ears.

I have never heard of B Mitch in my life. I respect him right now. He explained EXACTLY what analysis means and he that he is honest. He talks the good and the bad.

Portis just wants people to worship at his altar. That's a load of crap.

Slightly OT: I played a round of golf with Brian Mitchell back in 2002 when he was with the Eagles. It was during the offseason, and my buddy and I got paired up with him and one of his friends at the first tee. He is truly a funny guy. We didn't know who he was until the 4th hole when we started talking about our jobs. He is very cool, level headed, and humble.

He revealed that he grew up a Cowboys fan, but said that his loyalty changed when "the other side started paying me".

Assuming you mean you've never heard him on the radio? And if that's the case, you can't really comment. BMitch regularly trashes the Skins and literally says anything for a bit of publicity. He often goes beyond being critical into assumption (locker room atmosphere etc).

Not saying Clinton is 100% right. But, I understand why he did what he did.

I remember how negative it got in Dallas during the years after Aikman. The staff writers and just about all Dallas media came at the Boys with a negative slant. It was rare to hear anything positive. Once Romo took the helm and the Cowboys started winning everything changed.

If the Commanders, more specifically Portis, wants to hear positive he should supply it on the field with some more wins. Give the media and fans something to be excited about and then they'll hear some positive. Either that or go talk to your mom...

Lurch you did not find Portis very unproffessiona how he came on the radion show talking about you got some "haters" on your show or saying "Portis pockets are str8"

I think you are missing something bigger then just the critic by Mitchell. These Skins are way overpaid, and by Portis saying that he is basically bragging that HIS POCKETS ARE PHAT AND STRAIGHT...........IN HOOD TERMS MEANING HIS BANK ACCOUNT IS NICE, HE GOT DOE, HE GOT LOOT....BUT B Mitch does not care about that he cares about the pride, tradition and winning history of the Skins.............that is the problem......

We had one in Irvin, but he grew up and turned around with the help of the organization.

Hos, B-Mitch is Brian Mitchell former running back and punt returner for the Skins and Eagles.

That's why his criticism stings Portis even more... it's not like this is coming from some talking head... it's coming from a former player who played the same position.

I thought Mitchell was dead-on as well. When Portis says that he's one of the "best conditioned" guys on the team... Mitchell fires back something about Portis taking himself out of the game every time he has a nine yard run.
