that punch out and recovery by kearse not even reviewed i men that football move and fumble but let go..
too many others to remember 166 yards of penalties almost all on 3rd and long..almost all uncatchable?

They were awful.

Dallas could’ve overcame it though. Can’t sit around and wait for someone to make a play all game.

Offense with 3 and outs and just no production leaving the defense hung out to dry.

The refs aided the Raiders bigtime but it’s going to happen again and if you want to win a championship you’re going to have to overcome adversity. Especially since you’ll have to go on the road now since you P’d away the 1 seed.

we did go in OT and then have that FG even be a ref debacle took 4 attempts ie ref mulligans to get it finished. What a joke..

So? Don't go offside in that very play your TE catches the ball for a TD and you would have never even seen OT. Make your damn PATs count for heaven's sake.

Guys, I'm not saying the refs were any good in that game. They sucked and gave us a couple of disadvantages. Especially that fumble/incomplete pass call. BUT, overcome means, don't go three and out in so many drives, don't cause so many stupid PI penalties, don't drop the ball all the friggin time... and so on and so on...

I didn't count special teams plays, but going through each team's offensive snaps, this is how the penalties ultimately came out (note: I only counted judgment calls so this didn't include offsides, false starts, or illegal formations. I also included total yardage a penalty cost a team. So the 31 yard Pollard run wiped out by holding was ultimately a -41 yard loss):


COWBOYS: -18 YARDS, Penalties gave them 3 First downs (1 on 3rd down), 1 First down taken away. Cowboys were not aided by penalties on any of their scoring drives (they did have a TD taken away, but they had an illegal formation which I didn’t count).

RAIDERS: +18 YARDS, Penalties gave them 5 First downs (all came on 3rd downs), 1 First down taken away, +16 Points (Raiders were assisted by 3rd down penalties on four of their scoring drives. Raiders probably lost points in the 2nd quarter when a 29-yard 3rd down completion to the Cowboys 19 was wiped out by an illegal hands to the face. They ultimately punted.)

It's easy to say "overcome" the refs, but, is it? When they dictate the flow of the game it sure makes it hard to get into a rhythm. Plus, if you're a player and every time you make a great play, and it's flagged back or against you, I'm sure that starts wearing on you mentally and you begin to play more tentatively.

Agree. I wouldn't pay a dime to the NFL. They ruined proffesional football years ago.

The game was so strong that all the on and off the field crap they've implemented hasn't killed it.....yet

some of those calls were ridiculous ticky tack as the balls were completely uncatchable. You shouldn't rewarded for throwing ball 3 yards over the head and out of bounds and the other 3 yards short hit the ground..

The ‘ol underthrow the ball and make the recover come back to it and initiate contact with the defender is pretty strong route.

Have you ever noticed that in most games when a pass is incomplete the refs run into the middle of the field motioning incomplete to stop the play? That never happened yesterday, as a matter of fact all the refs ran down the field and let the play continue. Then after the play all the refs got together, didn't say a single word to each other and waited for the confirmation to call it incomplete. I knew right away that if they called it a fumble they couldn't of reversed it so of course..call it incomplete so that it's impossible to reverse.

Yeah I wanted them to challenge it but apparently the way they called it he couldn’t. It was a bad judgement call. He caught it and tucked it and turned up field running. Then the stupid holding call on a big run by Pollard. Taking back game changing plays and killing momentum..
