Lol some things are surprising, Antonio Brown 4th round, Jimmy Graham 3rd-4th round.

Description of Dez was good.
Our #1 need according to them was Oline

Tim Tebow was considered a 6th round pick, not a high one either.

Wish there were more pages captured.

Mods feel free to move to NFL zone if it is warranted.

Interesting that they had Jimmy Klausen as a first-round pick.
Not surprised that they have Earl Thomas listed as 5'10. Height is notoriously overestimated.
Raw route runner tag on Dez is accurate based on his first few years in the league.

They find that at a garage sale?

Don't know, but he also put up a Raiders playbook from the same year. Looks like one ex-employee didn't destroy it and eventually someone else found it.

Even dumber is they had it even written that gronk was best player, and passed on him anyways.

The scouts didn't make the draft picks - Grandpa Al did.

And you can see a change since Al has passed on.
They seem to be doing better and not just taking whoever was fastest in the 40.

I would bet that you can see a trend like this across many teams, including the Cowboys.

The scouts spend the most time looking at these players - their perspectives should be the most reliable.

Are scouts always looking at scheme fit though? I think it has to be group effort between the coaches and scouts.

Scouts are typically given a positional prototype to scout against. Those desired traits are determined by the coaching staffs in most cases, and tend to drive what the scheme fits are. The scouts spend their time making those assessments over time, and see players many times. Teams also have a cross check process amongst scouts to limit biases for certain players. This happens throughout the entire college season.

The coaches get involved after the season, and, compared to the scouts, they are much less informed about the players. The scouts should have the most sway in terms of how players are rated and selected because they are the most and best informed. The largest mistakes are made when the least informed have the greatest influence.

I guess this played out in the Ware vs. Merriman or Ware vs. Spears debates
