Raiders potentially moving to ...Oklahoma?

I have heard an unsubstantiated rumor that the Oakland Raiders are considering a move to Oklahoma. Has anyone else heard this rumor, and is there any truth to it?

I would assume the Oklahoma City area. The word on the street is that they have broken ground on a new stadium but that it is all hush hush. Keep in mind Chesapeake Arena was built before the Thunder moved here.

You can't keep a billion dollar project hush hush. Especially if they have already broken ground on the project.

This seems nothing more than a ploy using idle threats to get a new stadium in Oakland. They have done this before in Sacramento and Los Angeles. They are using what leverage they have left.

Oklahoma may very well get the Raiders or another team, but I would bet this is not Oakland's first or second choice.

That's not going to happen. OKC barely has the facilities to support the Thunder with their practice facility being a roller rink. There is no way that OKC could support a two pro teams at one time.

The interesting thing would be to see if an NFL franchise could cut into the rabid popularity of the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys. Living in Oklahoma I have my doubts by Oklahomans love football enough that if the state fell in love with the team it could work.

Both Alabama and Mississippi deserve a team. Florida shouldnt have three.

Every team is fine with where they reside with the exception of JAX. I agree there, Florida should not have three teams.
