When I think about the Raiders I just want to puke. Crappy team. Crappy fans. Crappy uniforms. They suck.

I would agree with everything but crappy uniforms...

Classic look and the throwbacks against us last year were sweet...

Not as good as ours... but sweet...

You put anyone on that raider team in the past 5 years and they would be a bust.

The Vikings ruined Herschel Walker by hammering him inside like a jack-hammer, relentlessly.

The Raiders organization gives me pause.

I think it is just the opposite. The Vikings refused to give Herschel the ball. He averaged just over 15 touches(rushing and receiving) a game during his time in Minnesota, which is ridiculous.

With a running back like Walker you have to feed him the ball. Landry knew that. Walker was one of the few running backs that Landry used and used and used again. He didn't try to save wear and tear on him. The only reason Walker didn't get more touches in Dallas was because Dorsett was still around for two years. Still Herschel averaged just over 20 touches a game during his 3 years under Landry and almost 26 a game once Dorsett left.

Wasn't most of the Zone convinced he'd lead us to the Promise Land overnight? (I mean, had we picked him?)

Some people around here were ready to give up our whole draft for him. :laugh2:

I don't think we'll ever know how good McFadden is or could be as long as he's mired in that hopeless mess of a franchise.

I believe that Oakland is so bad that people would be doubting Adrian Peterson if he had been unlucky enough to land there.

McFadden was always a guy with great speed that got caught up with shoestring tackles and had very average vision.

But, it is the Raiders.

Thats not true, great speed yes, but not average vision. Hes got talent, hes just on a team where talent goes to die.

I remember the last time we played them every time he touched the ball he looked like a threat to go the distance. Much like Felix does for us. The difference is we actually block for Felix and have a QB who makes defenses scared he's going to complete passes on them.

Seriously, judging Mcfadden's production on a raiders team with no oline, no QB, and no effective receivers is just not fair.

Mcfadden should have been able to do more - like Bush he is nowhere near as good as his college stats showed.

Remember some of those crazy ideas some came up with? What really got me was most were dead serious. Like we were one RB away from going on a Super Bowl winning streak.

no but like Dez Bryant, its hard to not want a guy that has such athletic gifts, despite depth on your roster.

I'm no Raiders fan but I actually like what they've been doing this off season.

As for McFadden...they did what the Raiders often do and reached in the draft. That was an amazing draft class for running backs and the year you would least need to reach for one. Still, DMC may have a decent career yet.

Finally, this year they seemed to know what they were doing in the draft.

I do recall a few that at the very least wanted us to move up in the top 10 to take him. Basically it would have been Felix and Jenkins for McFadden...yikes!
I'm not quite ready to call him a bust though...the dude does have some talent....but I'm sure glad we drafted how we did.

Another one I was right about and everyone thought I was insane to say.

Just like my Suh will be a bust in the longterm prediction I made this year.
