Raiders release FB Lorenzo Neal

38 years old, 17th season... My apologies if this has been posted already. I'm just surprised nobody has posted a "GET'ER DONE JERRY" post...

personally, I like Anderson, but seems to have some health issues.

the only plus would be Neal's leadership... not worth it?

hes worth it for a small contract, i mean i recall a time not too long ago when neal was pretty much the best blocker on the chargers, and was clearing paths for lt all day.....id love to have him on the team for a year, i mean keeping barber one hit healthier is great, plus he's great at blitz pickup also...or at least he was.

he's worth little to us.

our FB is going to get 5-10 snaps at the most. if that guy doesn't play ST then we are really screwed.

I don't think Dallas will be looking for anyone until the final cut at that point they may look to make changes with the bottom of the roster.

With a 2 TE set I don't imagine the guy is going to get much playing time here if all he does is play FB.

Wow, I was just listening to an interview with him at Raiders camp on Sirius yesterday.

He was talking about how great it was there, what an icon Davis was, etc. Guess he had no idea that this was coming, huh?

He's 38..... What is he worth???? NOTHING, he's done!!!! Some fo you think this is college and that you can carry 90 players with we should sign this guy or we should trade for this guy. You can only have 53, and 45 on gameday We are carrying a punter, 2 kickers,a long snapper, that takes the number to 41, you're cutting who for Neal, a younger player in Anderson, because we aren't carrying two fullbacks on the roster. Can some of you atleast stop and think alittle before you want every other teams spare signed here. There's a reason why he was cut, he's old, and slow. WAS a great fullback, the key word is WAS, stop living in the past, because he isn't that player anymore!!!
