Whether you like JG or not, it would be immensely beneficial for this team if he proves he is the right man for this job. I desperately want a young HC who we can keep for 10+ years. I am behind Jason 100%, please prove to us you are the right man for the gig.

Hey if he proves over the next 8 games that he can be the guy then I'm all for him being here for a long time. I am just glad they're making a change. Here's to Red Genius getting some swagger back and turning this thing around.

Let's see if he can bring any focus to the table.

aww hell no, it would be just as beneficial if he falls flat on his face and we get a legit nfl coach in here.

No matter how well he does some here will hate him unless he wins a Super Bowl.

Today is a good day for me. I actually feel relieved.

Yeah, here's to hoping he succeeds because the alternative kind of sucks.

What is that?

Choosing from one of several proven NFL coaches in the offseason wouldn't suck...

Let's see what ya got Red...

I've always believed he would make a better HC than OC, but it will be hard to prove given the current state of the team.

Worried that not a lot will change under JG but if he is our coach I will back him as long as he makes players accountable.

I dont care if he plays a mainly reserve team next week as long as he makes a statement to the jokers who have played the past 2 weeks

Not me. I obviously don't like the guy, but I desperately want him to succeed in his new role. I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong about Garrett and have this team compete again. That's all I care about...

I have instantly gone from cursing his name to cheering for him to succeed.

rally around him, lol ....I want Garrett gone too!!! He has NO clue how to call a game...

Norv Turner should of been the headcoach if you wanted someone to teach Garrett how to call a game, or hire Dan Reeves last year and I wanted Dom Capers as the defensive coordinator, not wade Phillips..

"Not Succeeding" is the alternative. You should care about the team succeeding, not that only the guy you want succeeds.

I hope he does good. I just don't think he will.

I don't think we'll win too many games this year, because Romo is out and the offensive line is very bad, but I think the players will play hard.

And I am really excited for next season now.

I'm hopeful that you're right about him. I would love to see him succeed, turn this team around, and bring them back to the glory days.

Good post. I hope he is the right man for the job and he stays 10-15 years and no more 3 year rent a coach. You go no where changing your head coach every 3-4 years.

Not gonna do it...

Sure it would be great to have a young coach for the next 10 years, but you don't take that risk with a guy that the Rams and Lions didn't even want. At this point, I question whether Garrett would even get an OC job if his fired after this season.

With that said, I am fine with him being the interim coach. If he somehow turns water into wine with this bunch of quitters, then i'll give in and support JG as the head coach.

With Tony out there is no way he's judged by wins and losses. More likely preparation.
