Rams get #1 overall

You don't need to apologize for that.

But you should have a better answer than what you've given for thinking the Cowboys are going to construct a plan where they will take yet another OT in the draft and then just let their all pro C walk as if it's just really easy to replace a center.

I'm not sure how I can have an answer for you as to who the Cowboys may have play center in 2018, especially since drafting Tunsil is completely theoretical and so the team has taken no steps to anticipate losing Frederick.

It could literally be anyone, the point is that IF the team gets Tunsil, and IF they decide Frederick is the player they can most afford to lose going into 2018, then they could have to do something about finding his replacement. Could be FA, could be draft, could be trade, etc.

Where has "most everyone" ever said that? Both Goff and Wentz are consensus top 10 picks. The Rams paying that cost to move up to #1 only reaffirms that fact.

Draft sites, analysts, ESPN, NFL Network. I've seen a majority say none of the QB's this year were the typical high end franchise caliber types. They still thought Wentz and Goff were good and due to demand would go in the top 10, but even then many had then rated on their boards around 10 or lower.

That 5th year option would be paying him top T money and so would the Franchise Tag two years in a row. There is no designation between LT and RT when it comes to the Franchise Tag or the Rookie Option.

I'm sure by the 5th year they will know whether they want to sign him long term or not. That goes
for each of our "ALL PRO" OL.

Tunsil is the clear cut highest rated player in this draft.

I agree. And Ramsey somehow is in the top 3 on most boards I've seen. Of course looking at the top of the draft there isn't the usual high end franchise type players available.

AWESOME for the Titans
That would be about (90% of) fair value, as expected.
They are in position to get almost anyone they want this year and next year

3000 pts

15 = 1050
43 = 470
45 = 450
76 = 210
2017 1st = 450 ish
2017 3rd = 75 ish

= 2705

2705/3000 = 90%

If the Rams draft a QB as expected, then the odds are pretty high that said rookie QB will start all or most of the games this next season. If that's the case, I would expect (and Tennessee would too, I think) that the Rams will have a poor record next year. That Rams 2017 pick could very well be top 5. If all that comes to fruition, I think the Titans would be very happy with the return on their trade.

I'm guessing it had to have been whoever Cleveland liked. Wonder if the Rams will offload Foles for compensation.

I wouldn't mind Foles as a vet backup although I wouldn't spend a lot for him. I'm not a fan we just need a capable backup.

I don't think the Rams did that bad in the trade, you have to consider they are moving from #15 to #1,and they gave a #1, two 2nds, and two 3rds but they get back a 4th and a 6th.

now lets look at the Commander Rams trade from a few years ago, the Commanders moved from #6 to #2....not #1 overall, and had to give 3 #1's and 2nd.

the important thing here is that have to hit on the pick whether its Wentz or Goff

I'd say Wentz goes 1. Goff 2 to Browns or team trading up. SD takes Tunsil or Ramsey. I hope it's Ramsey because if not I think we'll take him at 4. :facepalm:

I'm not thrilled with the other talent at 4 but would take one of the DL or Jack over Ramsey.

We will see who the Titans wind up drafting but it looks like a nice haul for them to rebuild that team. I also like what the Rams did if they believe, as they appear to do, that one of these QB's are franchise players. Most would say the Rams took the Commanders to school in the RG3 trade but the Rams never got any better without having a QB. RG3 wasn't a franchise QB, but if he was I am sure the Commanders would not have had any doubts of doing that trade again. There are teams who have been looking for a elite or near elite QB for 10 plus years. If you don't have one, all the other good moves you may make really don't matter at the end of the day. A elite QB can hide a lot of warts.

I like the trade a lot for Tennessee.
