Rams get #1 overall

they didn't use the draft chart? LOL! Now the Rams got fleeced like they fleeced the Skins a few years ago.

Goff will probably be the pick, maybe the Browns will take Wentz, that's not a given. Perhaps all 3 QBs will be gone in the top 4.

I wouldn't have a problem selecting him. Build the best line the league has ever seen and keep it together as long as you can. If you missed out on the top two quarterbacks, you obviously wouldn't be drafting one until later, at a much lower cost. And if you can get cheap quarterback play (provided the guy isn't a bum) for a few years, that's a huge cap savings that would allow you to keep the line group together for a few more years.

starting to look more at lynch and conner - outside chance of the hacken-dude late 2nd or 3rd...if we go qb lookin like one of those.

WOW! Nice haul! The Titans can still get a starter at OT or CB at #15 and with the ammo they have the 2nd round should provide more potential starters. Not to mention the 2017 picks.

New GM did a great job.

It's nice to have the #1 overall pick and have your quarterback in place. That security allows a team to make moves like this one.

I'm betting it's Goff the Rams want. He's more polished and ready and Fisher is feeling it slip away. He can't afford to wait on Wentz to develop.

Do we trade down now and collect more draft picks? If we do and end up with Lynch, I'll take it.

If Tunsil is there, you draft him and figure that out later. Likely, it means not reupping Frederick.

Just what I was thinking. Maybe they draft Nick Martin in the 3rd as his eventual replacement and have the brothers fill 2/5ths of the line for the next several years. Don't know that that's ever been done before.

Well that was a nice dream while it lasted.

Can't wait 3 years from now when we are scrambling to find a franchise QB.

But we can't blame the team if that's what happens. It's not like they had the opportunity and passed.

I don't see moving an All Pro guard outside, you get a very good player if you have an opportunity to grab one IMO.

At some point the law of diminishing returns kicks in. How much better does Tunsil make an OL that is already arguably the most dominant in the league? Factor in the cost of neglecting another position as well.

It makes little sense. Trade the pick then if you don't like anyone else at #4.

If we only liked Wentz and Goff is sitting there at 4 because Cleveland passed on him, you'll have an itchy trigger finger in San Fran. Shame Chip isn't in control there like he was in Philly. You could probably rape him for the 4th pick.

I don't know much about Nick, to be honest. I've heard his name but haven't really looked at any scouting stuff on him. I'm curious if he's really a talent, or it's more about name recognition. I know he has some position flex, which is a bonus.

They could've drafted one next year lol. You just traded all of this for a quarterback who was projected to be a 2nd round pick just two months ago. It's moronic. The Rams aren't a qb away from contending and they surely aren't a Wentz away from winning:

You can't just 'draft one next year', it's not that simple or every team would have a good QB.

The NFL has changed dramatically, it's no longer get the building blocks in place, build up your core over time etc.. it's get a good QB and essentially take a run every year with whatever roster you can cobble together.

Game day management, game planning, and coaching is becoming more important than ever, the talent difference team for team is smaller than it's ever been. No teams have depth.

The rules protect QBs as much as possible, get one, a good one, and you are right in the thick of it.

Rams are a disaster.

Going to be fun watching the Titans pick. Glad they aren't in the NFC.

Dick LeBeau is going to have a lot of toys to work with for that Titans defense.
