Rams get #1 overall

Rams made a great deal, hopefully the QB they select (Goff) workouts for them by the time they move into their new stadium. this move might put us in a good small trade down position if Ramsey and Tunsil are on the board at 4.

I would be extremely disappointed if they were inclined to take Tunsil. Nothing wrong with the player, but how they can consider having to pay five OL top shelf money in the future is the problem.

I would use Tunsil as the trade down bait in the event Cleveland or San Diego does not take him.

not really, Tunsil could drop out of the top 10 if he's not taken in the first 3 picks. I would take Elliot or Lynch if I was the Cowboys.

He was hurt. We knew that. I'd rather see what Green has than waste a top pick on a tackle.

I don't know that it would wasted but it would be smart. You can have half or more of your cap going to the oline

At some point the law of diminishing returns kicks in. How much better does Tunsil make an OL that is already arguably the most dominant in the league? Factor in the cost of neglecting another position as well.

It makes little sense. Trade the pick then if you don't like anyone else at #4.

I don't know how much better he would make the line, there is only one way to find out and that is to draft him. Last I check Dallas still would have additional draft picks. Free is on his last legs and RT will soon become a position of need. This kid could lock up that RT position for years to come.

Goff at 1, Wentz at 2 and we get Ramsey?

I would think San Diego would take Tunsil, but the Chargers might go with Ramsey, which means we likely would choose between Tunsil and Bosa. Since offensive lineman isn't a pressing need, I might depend on where we rank Bosa (although other players could be in consideration such as Buckner and Elliot).

Honestly, it looks like a terrible spot for us to be in. If the quarterbacks go one-two, nobody is looking to trade up at that point so we're likely stuck at #4. And I would expect San Diego to take Ramsey at #3 as well, leaving this team to decide between Tunsil or Bosa. And while both are good players, I don't view Bosa as special or worth #4 overall and Tunsil is 'overkill' on the offensive line.

But if I'm stuck, I'm taking Tunsil and building the greatest line the league has ever seen.

Tunsil is not dropping out of the Top 10. Baltimore is very interested in an OT. Philly could go OT as well.

The reality is that he probably doesn't make the OL that much better.

You are right.......... Dallas does have other draft picks............... so they can take a RT with one of those instead of using another premium pick on an OL that likely doesn't improve the OL greatly to begin with.

It would be bizarre to take Tunsil (or any OL) at 4.

If Tunsil is there at #4 the phone will be ringing like crazy to make a trade with Dallas. IMO no way the Chargers take Ramsy over Tunsil though.

Here's a thought, what would it cost us to trade with Cleveland?

I'd say an awful lot. They would know you were after the other quarterback and would either decline any offer to take him themselves, or hold out for a king's ransom to anyone who did. Everyone now knows that one of the two is going 1st overall which only makes the other quarterback, and the 2nd overall pick, that much more valuable.

This trade shook up everything. Let's say tunsil falls to us we may be able to take advantage of the titans. Two seconds and their first. We have 3 seconds and a first then.

I'm hoping Ramsey falls but this shakes up everything

I would rather acquire top talent than gamble on a potential swing tackle.

I would too unless it was a position we already had and we already have a offensive line.

You think it would be smart to have most of our money tied up into a line? Most teams find right tackles in the later rounds a and win games. Why are we the exception?

they have to do this to get fans to the new stadium they are building this is a wow move for the new la fans case keenum was never going to be there future. this is all about winning in the future.

Hey, wait a minute. I saw this movie. This sounds like they are picking their Bo Callahan (Connor Cook). This might actually be a good thing.:oldcouple:

But on a serious note, the pick is definitely Goff and it has nothing to do with a "Cali connection". He's just plain a better pocket passer than the other two.

I could see that happening. They would still have a first and 3rd next year out of that deal and get Tunsil @4
