Rams get #1 overall

They could've drafted one next year lol.

Sure, because they're falling out of the sky!

You just traded all of this for a quarterback who was projected to be a 2nd round pick just two months ago. It's moronic. The Rams aren't a qb away from contending and they surely aren't a Wentz away from winning:

What's truly "moronic" is anyone watching what is happening in this league and continuing to think that you can "just get" a quarterback.

WOW that changes things dramatically

I think they gave up too much personally.

But it always amazes me how some fans cant grasp the concept of how the Cowboys should take a QB #4 if they have the chance and a franchise guy is there. The Rams give up two years worth of 1st,2nd, and 3rd rounders to get their guy. News flash..................franchise QB's are the most important thing in football. If you dont have to give up a kings ransom to get the next one and you have the chance at the #4 pick, you HAVE to take him. NOT a RB, NOT a CB, but take the franchise guy. Sadly, it looks like we may not even get the chance this year. Maybe this trade will put things in perspective for those that wanted to NOT take a QB at #4.

The Chargers have an interesting dilemma. Tunsil and Ramsey will likely be on the board when they pick. Their secondary could definitely use Ramsey whether he replaces Weddle at S or if he steps in as a starting CB. I think the secondary is a bigger weakness than their OL. LT King Dunlap is only 30 and signed 4yr $28mil deal with $13mil guaranteed last February. RT Joe Barksdale agreed to a four year contract extension on March 7, 2016. He got 4yrs $23mil with $10.5mil guaranteed.

Following the money leads me to believe that the Chargers go Ramsey. Yes, it is possible to kick one of the tackles inside to make room for Tunsil but I think they jump at Ramsey knowing they pick early enough in the 2nd to get Ohio St. OT Decker should he fall or Indiana OT Spriggs if he is there in the 2nd.

Bet that changes after this trade. You will see all the mocks changing to Tunsil to SD and Ramsey to Dallas.

possible. this is going to domino everything. they may have wanted ramsay cause tunsil was gone in mocks anyway. as much as i'd like to see us w/the top OL prospect in the draft, i have to agree on "diminishing returns" also. we have a very solid line, let them gel and make them affordable over time. ramsay or jack would make my day at that pick.

starting to look more at lynch and conner - outside chance of the hacken-dude late 2nd or 3rd...if we go qb lookin like one of those.

I don't want Lynch because he needs a lot of work and I have no faith that this coaching staff can coach quarterbacks. I see it as a recipe for disaster.

well you can. but how effective they will be is the next phase up. :) i do agree you have to improve your odds which is why i wasn't against a qb at 4. however< NOW - lynch or cook in the 2nd would be sweet.

It's nice to have the #1 overall pick and have your quarterback in place. That security allows a team to make moves like this one.

not only that, but it's likely that the Rams first round pick next year will be top 10...........

I'm betting it's Goff the Rams want. He's more polished and ready and Fisher is feeling it slip away. He can't afford to wait on Wentz to develop.

Unfortunately, that's my believe too. I think the Rams see the same things I do when I look at Goff's work.

Too bad because he was the guy I really wanted...

:(

thanks was just about to reply, that's the dumbest thing i've heard all draft season.....furthermore, even if Tunsil is on the board, we have to pass on him, and that's that.

Agree. Even if he's a future pro bowler, adding him to our Oline isn't necessary and doesn't marginally improve as much as on a lesser group. It's overkill. We have a guy (Chaz) with talent at RT that's an unknown of course, but we need to find out what we return we got for our 3rd round spent capital.

I think it's now Ramsey or bust. Trade down with whoever wants Tunsil.

The reality is that he probably doesn't make the OL that much better.

You are right.......... Dallas does have other draft picks............... so they can take a RT with one of those instead of using another premium pick on an OL that likely doesn't improve the OL greatly to begin with.

It would be bizarre to take Tunsil (or any OL) at 4.

We can agree to disagree, the way I see it is that I don't see Free on this team next year (because of performance and salary) and if they have an opportunity to get the best tackle in the draft then it is something they would need to seriously look at.

The Green kid is coming off injury so you have no idea what they will get out of him, Dallas would have the opportunity to have very young and very talented offensive lineman, the game is won in the trenches. He also may be the safest pick in this draft.

i just like the name. :) actually i look over some of this before now but NOW is when i really start getting interested. i don't have the time, or i suppose the desire, to follow every single prospect and scenario as i used to. but now that i can get a better idea of possibilities, this is where it gets fun for me.

Good grief...and some talked about us trading up to the titans spot.

Yeah, even if we had Charlie Brown as a GM, he wouldn't have made this trade....oh wait, we still have Jerry...quick, someone snatch that trade card...:lmao2:

I cant see anyone passing up a franchise LT for a safety unless they have a true guy in there already.
