a coach evolving his scheme to help his players - imagine that...
"[Pederson’s] offense in 2017.” We’ve seen that creativity, as Pederson evolved his scheme to help maximize the talent of Carson Wentz. And when Wentz went down, Pederson proved Philadelphia’s offensive success wasn’t the product of Wentz’s MVP-level play, as Nick Foles took over, played well and led the Eagles to the Super Bowl with a 352-yard, three-touchdown masterpiece against a fire-breathing Minnesota defense in a 38-7 win. Pederson elevated and modernized the West Coast offense with college staples like run-pass options and zone reads. The passing game forces defenses to defend every blade of grass with a nice blend of vertical passing concepts and quick throws. The run game is varied, employing zone runs, wham blocks and pulling guards."

Here’s what Tony Romo had to say about Goff during the broadcast of the Rams-Saints game…
“Goff is doing a ton at the line of scrimmage. More than anybody I’ve seen in their second year in a long time — probably since Peyton Manning.”
communicating with the qb even at the line of scrimmage

I wonder if the Eagles would trade Wentz straight up for Goff today in a hypothetical. There is that knee surgery thing already in Wentz's brief career. I doubt the Rams would trade.

I do think there was an element of luck in the Eagles SB travels. Foles did not play well against the Falcons and Ryan did his best Mr Freeze up. I suppose that is one game though and he was spectacular against a great Vikings D. I think the Vikings luck ran out with their QB. Both Keenum and Foles played above the rim and I think it was bound to happen that Keenum would lay an egg eventually. Foles would have too, he just played fewer games than Keenum and the law of averages hadn't caught up with him.

As far as coaching, the Eagles added some nice pieces in FA in 2017. I give them credit for that. Pedersum was the coach in 2017 all be it with a rookie QB. His offense was not impressive in 2017. Not making excuses for JG at all but Perdersum caught lightning in a bottle and rode it to the SB IMO. We should have ridden it in 2014 and 2016. We didn't, end of story

I remember some fans saying we wouldn't win the NFC east in 2017 because there hadn't been a repeat winner since the early 2000's. If that historical perspective applies to Dallas it applies to the dirty bird Eagles

Stop it, The Eagles earned that SB and when they were healthy they embarrassed the Cowboys. Peaderson unlike Garrett actually has a offensive mind and he evolved.

Who needs a creative HC who can adjust to players' strengths? All you need is the process. And 20 years to see it through.

Well that's hope Dallas gets the magic this year and wins the Super Bowl :starspin::starspin::starspin::starspin::starspin::starspin:

Took Pedersen just two years. Well, how long are we gonna wait for JG to catch lightning n a bottle, et's been 8 years? Oh yeah, 2014 an 2016 was as far as his lightning goes...1 n done.

I think both teams like their QBs an wouldn't trade them for nothing.

always the grass is greener deal, dont covet the' neighbor LOL

they have jobs we have a coach and nothings going to change that for now..the flipside are the pones that dont work like chip Kelley and Ben Macadoo and many others.. some teams take chance and it works out others dont, none are better evaluators than others, its luck sometimes..
