Would you trade the #47 and #80 to make it happen? I certainly would.

Depends who you can get there. If we get Vaccaro or Cooper at 18, and either Richardson or Sly Williams is still there at 22, I might be tempted to pull the trigger on that. However, that does mean that we will have to hit on a guard or S later...maybe Alvin Bailey or JJ Wilcox.

I would be more interested in getting a top 10 choice in round 2 and possibly land a safety, wide receiver or offensive lineman that we have targeted.

Alaways depends on what is happening on draft day.

But if the value is way in your favor--which it is by far in this case--there's reason to take it early so you have plenty of time to trade back down if you want to and come away with free picks or upgreaded picks.

Pick 22 = 780
Picks 47 and 80 = 620

The value chart is only a rough guess but that's way out of whack.

You could trade that 22 for a higher pick in both rounds 2 and 3 if you could find a taker.

But normally you don't make a trade

Man if you could land Warmack and Richardson / Williams than that would be huge for us.

That would be an A+ in my book.
There is no way to know if we should take that and run because it will depend on if there is someone at 22 that we really covet.

Is that equal value?

The Rams would be losing more than 100 points at that point.

I think they are targeting Alec Ogletree. It follows their picks of Jenkins, Johnson and Givens last year.

No, this draft is deep with 2nd or 3rd round quality, shallow with 1st round quality. The best scenario is to accumulate more 2nd or 3rd round picks, not give them away on a guy who is not a sure thing. This draft has very few "sure things" but lots of "good possibilities."

If that was guaranteed to happen, it would be hard for me not to pull the trigger.

If some big name falls that low then maybe. But other than that I wouldn't.

Yes I would.

If you make trades that strongly benefit you according to the trade charts you give yourself a great chance to succeed. Those trade charts have been honed for 15 years to represent historical value.

If the Rams wanted to make that move right this second I'd do it.

Then I'd look to move down at either 18 or 22 and collect equal or near equal trade value vs the chart. You could probably move down twice with EITHER pick 18 or 22 and still end up picking before 47 and end up with more picks than you had to start with including one in each round.

Always take value when it presents itself. That's the best overall chance for success.

No. Why would we trade out of the strongest part of the draft into the weakest?
