Randle Cobb & Cole Beasley Comparison

The ball is being spread around here more.

Bease is #1 with 24 catches, then it's Brown with 23 then the # 3 guy has 8 catches.

In Dallas, it's Cooper with 21 catches, then 3 guys with 14 catches in Gallup( 2 games), Witten and Cobb.

Bease is still a good receiver, especially for a guy like Allen.
Cowboys didn't want to pay him as much as the Bills did.
And Stephen is on record for not handing out "big" 3rd contracts.

Bease has 24 catches off 36 targets
Cobb has 14 catches off 21 targets.

Same catch rate.

Yep there is a reason Beas is getting much more targets than Cobb, he's a better player.

As you pointed out they have the same catch rate(66.67%).
Bill's completion %- 59.9% so Beas is 7% higher than Bill's completion %
Cowboys comp %- 72.4% so Cobb is 6% lower than Cowboys comp %

ehhh.... he's getting more targets because he's at the top of the depth chart. i'm not sure what you've seen to suggest cole is better.

Cobb has better ypc, rac, and actually scored. I just don't see it

Cobb:
14 receptions for 157 yards as the WR3 for two games and the WR2 for two games, on the 6th ranked passing offense.

Beasley:
24 receptions for 246 yards as the WR2 for all four games, on the 19th ranked pass offense.
Beasley has a great career in rap music too. Can Cobb rap?

Who cares, Cobb was wide open in the end zone last night and Dak missed him. He was open for a big first down and Dak missed him again. Cobb is a good player, so is Beasely but there is nothing Dallas could have done to keep Beasley so why complain about it.

Honestly, if the OL continue to block like they did last night, all the receivers are going to struggle. Dak under pressure is not an accurate passer.

I've watched them play, it was apparent that Cole was better in the offseason and it's even more apparent now.

Yes Cobb averages 11.2 ypc to Beasleys... 10.2 yards per catch, if you're trying rac=yards after catch Beasley has more than Cobb actually, and yes Cobb has caught one of Dak's 8 TDs while Beasley hasn't caught any of Allen's 3 total passing TDs for the season.

total due to more catches. but the average which we're discussing is heavily in cobbs favor. nearly double. And it's confusing me because your words clearly support what I'm saying, but your tone betrays it.

Give me Cobb any day.

I'll take the better player, give me Beasley.

They are comparable players skill wise. For the money they are making and the amount of headaches that come with them, I’ll take Cobb at this point because the money is much less and the headaches are zero. Beasley wouldn’t have any better stats in Dallas than Cobb. They would be used and targeted relatively the same.

I never trusted Beasley after he walked away from the team during his first pre-season
and then came back like nothing happened.

head case.
