I absolutely love the way DeMarco is running the ball right now, but I worry about the sheer volume of touches. He's on pace for nearly 400(!!) carries. Murray is simply too important to this team for us to run him into the ground.

Randle has looked good with his limited touches, and I'm confident he can be effective behind what looks to be a top 5 o-line. I hope to see him get something around 7-10 carries/game moving forward, and for us to keep Murray around 20.

I think Randle has surprised me more than anyone on this team. That what a solid professional off-season program will do for you. He looks much faster and this OL is having a positive impact on alot of players as I see Romo sitting in the pocket making throws instead of running for his life. I won't go over-board here but for first time in a looong time there appears to be foundation in place.

I agree, Murray is running like a monster but he has to be able to last for the whole season. He obviously needs to get the lion's share of the carries but they need to use Randle to take some of the pressure off. I think that started with this game when we let Murray sit out at least for a drive during the 4th quarter.

I agree that Randle, needs more touches. Partly to have Murray fresh for the end of the year, but more so to help us determine what to do when Murray's contract is up.

Already said that during preseason. Randle can carry the load. He's a poor man's version of Murray.

Id like to bring up Williams too of only we could find a spot. Maybe Cam Lawerence's spot. Hitchens can back up 3 LB spots

Good or not, it wouldn't hurt to spell Murray every so often. I must say though, it's refreshing to see a running back actually stay in the game for an entire drive. Many guys, Shady McCoy for one, makes a 15 yard run then signals to the sideline for a breather. Dives me nuts.

We already know what to do. Randle won't change that decision.

I agree I was ready to dump him during the preseason. Thus far he has looked explosive.

I think he looks faster because of two things. Obviously the improvement in the Oline as a whole but Randle looks a lot more certain about himself on the field. His body language shows it. I was really happy when we drafted Randle because I think he can be nice piece to the offense. After a shaky first year he looks to have really gained some confidence and is doing more reacting during a play. Definitely see less hesitation in his body language. Not sure he is a starter in this league but he can play a role for the offense that helps Murray and the rest.

+1

Randle is looking very good, especially after DeMarco and the OL has softened the D up a little bit. I noticed that DeMarco has had 24 carries the last two games,,, I'm guessing the team has set a run count max for him.
