i don't care for randle and just as happy we've moved on but i agree. the "punishment" system by the nfl is bull**** and dangerous to any given player out there at any given time. if you're going to take away a mans career for the most part, what they do to warrant that should be consistent.

not up to public opinion polls.

This is the new way.....

The Unions are dead. The 40 hour work week is dead.

A teacher got fired for having a beer, while she was on vacation in Europe, and posting a picture of it, to social media.

Its 1984; We just havent realized it yet. And, The fast food joints are serving Solyent Green, man!! Solyent Green.......................

If you are talking about the girl from Georgia a few years ago, technically she didn't get fired, she resigned. The school was likely going to suspend her but she opted to resign, but then changed her mind and tried to sue the school under a Georgia law for fair dismissal. I know one court ruled in favor of the school saying she resigned and therefore the Fair Dismissal Act didn't apply............. not sure what happened after that.

And yet amazingly, dozens and dozens and dozens of players around this league somehow seem to stay clear of the draconian NFL punishments system because somehow, someway, they use that thing in their heads called a brain and don't get into any trouble.

Freaking amazing how that works.

This.....

He can go bag groceries. Maybe he has learned to keep his hands to himself now and won steal any meat off any bones.

And I don't get why the NFL thinks they are better than the legal system.

I could call in and accuse a NFL player of something and if it gains media attention the NFL could just suspend that player for being involved even though they did nothing.

If a guy is guilty of something then go right ahead but if there is no charges then why punish someone who did nothing wrong in the court of law?

Because everything isn't legal.

As I've said previously, you can't be arrested simply for cussing and swearing - depending on the situation.

But if your employer catches you cussing and swearing in an inappropriate place or manner that it brings reproach on your company, he can fire you - and rightly so.

If everything were judged legally, we couldn't take disciplinary action without the courts say so. And for people who already bemoan how litigious our society has become, they'd really have something to cry about.

Oh and Randle got his warning. He was caught shoplifting and no real punishment came from it.

So what does he do with that chance? Continue to act like a nitwit off the field.

Find me a fair, consistent system on this side of the grave.

That is a totally valid criticism of this team's decisions. No matter what you might say about Randle, nobody knew him better than his employers did. And they deserve plenty of criticism for thinking that he could be part of an adequate replacement of Murray.

That's Jerry. He always thinks he can have positive influence on a guy, turn his life and career around.

Because that's a weakness, he really ought to let the shrinks make that assessment, and take their advice.

Surely a psychological profile is part of the total evaluation.

There are consequences for actions, some severe and some permanent, a good portion of society seems to not understand this concept, as well as a vocal portion of this board.

so what did he do to warrant losing his job in this field forever?

and PLEASE take the "vocal majority" crap out of here.

If there are any grocery baggers reading this, I just want to apologize to you for assuming that Joseph Randle could do what you do with the integrity that you uphold every day.

so that's it? not fair don't try?

i see, the bull**** risin...i see the sinky poo ahead...

The NFL is trying to be fair. But it's going to appear unfair because there are people who don't want the NFL to take a stand on such issues.

So they use the lack of equity perception to advocate doing nothing.

What I'm saying is that you can't make the fact that something is unfair to grind to a halt. Work to make it fair as you go.

Joseph Randle reminds me of Peter Griffin, except for the fact Griffin's Caucasian, fat, and has balls for a chin.

pretty much. The guy is a mental midget. Haven't given him ONE thought since we released him. LOL

It's still stunning to me that the team thought this knucklehead could be our primary back -- little to do with skill (I happen to think he can bring a lot to an NFL team), but his maturity and drive to win. He is the exact opposite of Murray. I hope Stupid Stephen now understands the value of locker room chemistry and the importance of situational intelligence -- this team was so effective because of the talent and leadership at the top -- no different than the days of the Triplets. The Cowboys fell backasswards into their new Triplets....and said "not for us." Good job!

Sorry, I digress. I'm looking forward to watching #9.
