Love the pick. Not a fan of idiot players but I think Dez is a case that is far different from Pacman and other headcase players.

Moving back 30 spots at the end of the 3rd is a cheap price to secure a player of that talent.

Miami scooped up the 2nd rounder they lost to Denver. Big shocker there. I had no doubt that Bill would fall back and pick up extra picks. I still want to believe that package can be worked for that pick though. Spears and Crayton have to have a little value. Come on Billy, slide that pick over to JJ.

Is there any doubt remaining that Cincy offered their #1 pick last year? They took a TE. Theebs was dead on when a lot of people said it wasn't true. Hos confirmed it and anyone who still didn't want to believe need not look any further than yesterday. Oh well, maybe Dallas can snatch a 2nd from someone.

Love the new format. That round was flying.

War Room cam was cool but kind of boring. Better than I thought it would be.

Mel Kiper and McShay need to sign a contract to fight in the squared-circle. These two constantly fight back and forth. I think a lot of it has to do with Kiper feeling threatened. Plus, has anyone ever seen Kiper from the chest down? The guy always gets the portrait shot, he's never up and around working on their giant iPod touch or whatever the hell that thing McShat was running is.

The Raiders shocked everyone and actually made a good pick. Of course, McClain likely hasn't done anything to deserve being sent to Oakland.

Quick shout out to JAX for screwing up the entire board and taking a late 1st rounder top 10. I'm sure that helped Dallas in some way.

New England still has 12 picks left in the draft. Few 7th round comp picks but they have three 2nd rounders. What the hell man? How do they do it every year? Four 2nd rounders last year, 3 this year. Eat me raw Bill Belly-check.

Overall, good day of drafting. Can't wait to see if any action awaits in the 2nd and 3rd round.

I'm still holding out hope we find a way to get one or two of those.

They are going to use one of them on a TE, and I don't think there is a better one left than Marty B.

Well I have to agree now having gone to bed and getting up to read everything I have to say the boyz did a great job last night. Now waiting till tonight to see what happens will seem like forever. Jerry clearly has something going on. I think we are going to see some big names traded today not just from the boyz. Can you imagine a year from now what this offense is going to be. Yes I know they will be great this year but a year from now or for that matter late in the year this year. Unbelievable weapons Romo has to throw to now.

That's the one I have been sticking with myself.

It would be awesome to get an additional second rounder. We do need to get some depth at O-line and DB still and this round has a lot to offer. Do us proud Marty B!

They identify players who they do not want to re-sign to a longterm expensive contract and they trade them a year early while they still have alot of value. They also trade down alot and many of those trade involve next years picks which means you get a one round premium. Once you get this type of process started, its easy to continue because you have a never ending stream of talented young players drafted in rounds 1-4 moving up your depth chart and allowing you to trade expensive veterans while they are still in their prime.

Jerry has subscribed to the exact opposite theory in the past. Re-sign and hold onto all of your talented players a year or two too long until you have to release them.

Someone was saying in the presser by Jerry that he stated that he was somewhat sitting on the tight ends at this point...

Go back and recheck the past two seasons...

Yeah accd to AdamJT17's updated draft charts, the Ravens LOST nearly 100 points in the Denver trade. Everybody makes out like the Ravens fleeced the Broncos for a 3 and a 4 pick. It was far from that.

And the Cowboys actually gained points in their trade with NE.

I agree. very little price to pay to get a top 5-10 talent. impact type player.

I think miami did good. they wanted an impact DE/DT for their 3-4 and Odrick is very good one. we were hot on him as well.

the problem with NE and billicheck is that they haven't had very good drafts really. I think billy is also getting a little bit of an ego going with trying to ressurect all the veteran players. they did a few times, but now they think they have the magic wand, and they really don't. still I wish I had their 3 2nd rounders.

If the Cowboys want to recoup their 3rd round pick this season, look no further than the Pats.

Last year Belichick TWICE traded his three picks for second-rounders in 2010.

So if we want our 3 pick back that we traded to NE yesterday, maybe Beli will give it back to us in return for our 2 pick next year.

Something sounds wrong with that. Belicheat is a loanshark!!

We snagged the most talented WR since Randy Moss in my opinion. No way Jerry made the mistake of missing out on a top-flight wideout twice. I got butterflies when we drafted Dez. I wonder what number he'll take. 88? Who knows.

All I know is that Dez is a beast and ESPN obviously loved the pick too. ESPN's bottomline (Headline) even made room to say the Cowboys moved up to take Dez Bryant.

Great pick Jerry and Co.!

Fitz, Megatron, 'Dre Johnson come to mind... but Dez is right there.

But who would they ditch on?

Spears?

Marcellus Wallace? Does he look like a *****?

Choice?

Crayton?

I'd be shocked if all these guys are Cowboys by the end of the weekend. Hopefully Dallas can get good value for them, Choice and Marty are probably the most valuable in terms of trades.
