It's a rendition of a blackhole moving in front a light source. (basically a galaxy or illuminated dust) It's showing the effect of gravitational lensing.

On a serious note ( ), is the Moon being captured by a shuttered camera as it passes by the Earth's curvature? Light would seem to bend around the Moon if the camera speed is slow (methinks).

Ah okay. My first thought was that it was a black hole, but since we haven't had any photos of one, and I hadn't considered this might be a rendering, I thought it must be a giant planet or something.

Nope the pilot lived and nobody on the ground was hurt!! This happened at an airshow at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho in 2003. I was actually present. Something I will never forget witnessing.
