It appears Harrington and possibly Carr's careers may be over after this season. If Houston has first pick...they may take Leinart...

Would you trade for either one of these guys as back up to Bledsoe and give a chance? Say a Henson trade straight up...or something very reasonable.

If they are getting rid of them, they should not be overly expensive with their career stats in the tank.

If yes, who would you take?

My logic...if we feel Henson is not going anywhere, then why not take a chance on a player that has had 4 years of starting time...maybe just need a change with a real oline and coach. Now I will have to add Mariucci is a good QB coach, and Joey should not have any excuses...

joey no way, he's had a lot of chances and I just dont see him ever getting better at decision making he just cant seem to get over the hump.

Carr on the other hand I think would be ok if he was playing for us. theres no way to really judge him when he gets sacked everyplay and is always beatdown. I do gotta say though that Carr is extremely tough, AND the whole time hes been there taking a beating, ive never heard him say anything bad hes got a great personality. If they are foolishly going to let him go I wouldnt mind it at all if he came on over.

Gotta agree that Carr would be my pick. The poor guy deserves to go somewhere where he at least gets SOME protection.

I'd rather have Dallas draft a QB if those are my choices. As for Henson I think he has to show big improvment next training camp for Dallas to continue with him.

I think Harrington just "doesn't get it" and he never will.

get rid of a project QB with a non-prohibitive salary for a project QB who's been given a chance in the league and failed?

brilliant.

Carr is waaay better than Harrington from what I can tell. The former has suffered way too many sacks in his four year career.

If we are serious about drafting a top notch QB...we must trade this years 1st for the next year...having two #1 for 2007 IMO anyways... Not against that...that's just what it would take.

2007 QB's...I hope Brady Quinn stays in school next year and puts up more numbers...that way we can see if he's for real...he would be my top prospect for 2007.

Just stirring some thoughts up about what may happen with Joey and Carr....interesting.

If Houston gets the first pick, I think they will try to take Reggie Bush - assuming he comes out. I think they give Carr more of a chance. He deserves more than they've given him.

Harrington is done in Detroit. Interestingly though, Dallas had him as the second best player in that draft behind Carr, if I remember correctly. Obviously, that was before Bill and Jeff Ireland, but it's something to think about. Sometimes I think Harrington has just been the easy scapegoat. Other times I think that he is what he is.

 ...understand the post first before you talk....

I understood the post. Why would we get rid of our project QB, with a lengthy, cap-friendly contract, for a QB who's tried and failed at the NFL level? Maybe Carr could do alright with an O-Line, but I don't understand why everyone wants to just throw Henson under the bus without seeing what he can do. He was considered the second best QB in his draft, give him a chance.

OK...so your choice would be to keep Henson and not make any trade...

Cool...that's all you had to say the first time. My post was curiosity of what folks thought about either one of these two QB's...

I would not trade for either. My reason is that I think both will be cut from their respective teams. They will then be available to sign as free agents. If that were to happen, I think it is worth it to take a look at Carr.

I was not a fan of either coming out of college. I didn't think either would live up to their lofty draft status. After watching both play, I think Carr can be a servicable QB if not better. Houston has had no luck in developing an offensive line. Harrington on the other hand just doesn't seem to get it. Detroit has done a better job of building an offense around him and he has done nothing.

i agree, Quinn is the dude.

As for Harrington, no way, no how.
As for Carr, like him. I think he's good. I think that there will be a lot of player and coaches exiting Houston soon but Carr won't be one of them. I think they'll change his surrounding cast before they change QBs.

You know, I still cannot seen to gather any remorse for David Carr after the way he bad-talked the Cowboys when he was drafted, and then continue to bad-mouth them after Campo ill-prepared Dallas to beat them.

How Campo kept his job after this game is still a mystery to me.

Carr getting sacked so many times - I am enjoying that very much.

I agree. In the last 3 drafts the Lions have provided him with 3 top rated WR and a top rated RB. They have brought in guys like OT Woody and TE Marcus Pollard and yet Harrington still looks bad and now has lost his job to Jeff Garcia

The heck with a QB...I'd trade our 1st down and get and extra 1st or 2nd and get 2 O-linemen with our 1st 2 picks.

Face it, we are going to sink or swim with Bledsoe and our QB backups for 2 more years. Young RB's and a good mix of youth (Crayton, Witten and Price) and vet recievers (Glen and Key).

Might as well build a fortrace for them.

That is a good idea and one I think Parcells is going to try and take. The word is fortress by the way.

Outta these two , definitely Carr. Harrington just plain sux, You guys have pointed it out. They have built an offense around him and he stll aint doint jack.

I wouldn't trade Henson.
