It would be awesome if this is true.

I bet he does too, but I bet Leinart wins a Super Bowl before Vince Young as a starter. Anyone want to take that bet?

He'll cost them in the end.

You know Leinart was never really that bad. He just wouldn't throw down field. He was check down city.

I just think though at this day in age with coaches being fired and owners who dont have the belief in continuity that if you don't get high production from your QB right away that they will feel the need to make a switch.

In Arizonas case they obviously made the right move.

Our S play has been much improved. I dont think we've had any long passes completed behind the defense all year.

If he is still concussed i'd bet he doesn't even play considering they pretty much have the division clinched.

The Cards have far from wrapped up that division. They're up by 2 games with 5 to go. They can ill afford any losses down the stretch cause they've got a much tougher schedule than the Niners do. The Niners could, very realistically, come along and take this division from the Cards in this final stretch.

If Nick Folk has to kick a game winner from 35 on out is anyone comfortable with that? Im not. I hope he doesn't cost us at the end eventually.

I'm no kicker, but I noticed on an extra point attempt that McBriar had the laces at about 1 o'clock, instead of my presumed ideal of 12 o'clock. Sure enough, Folk pushed it right - where the laces were facing. If memory serves, most of Folk's misses have been to the right. If this is the culprit, you'd think it would be an easy thing to fix. Regardless, I agree that most of the problem is with the hold and not with Folk.

Good thing about Favre is if you pressure him, he throws picks. (forces the ball)

If the Cowboys can stop the run (they have shown they can) they just need to get a little pressure on Favre has be can collapse and throw three INTs. (he always throws them in bunches)

I want to avoid MIN and watch the Pack beat them in Minnesota in the playoffs. Not sure what scenarios would make that possible, but it'd be awesome to have them send Brent home for the holidays.

You'd have to hope for either Minnesota to collapse and end up with the 3 seed, or have GB as the #5 seed, Minnesota as #1 seed (assuming we are number 3 or 2 seed). Have Green Bay beat Arizona and then beat the Vikes in the divisional playoffs.

There we go. I was hoping someone would help me out with that. So, we beat the Saints and help that scenario out? I can live with that.

Minny doesn't need a tough schedule to see that they are an ultra talented team.

They get their best corner back this week too.

I mean what is this teams weakness? There isn't one. That doesn't mean they cant be beat but man they play physical football.

Their weakness is Brett Favre. Everyone thinks he's so special until he actually plays against equal talent and then starts throwing into quintuple coverage (lol). Hell, I was even sold on Favre until I watched him lay an egg against New York in '07.

As for Vince Young, he has some of the worst mechanics I have ever seen. Just wait till he puts up another stinker, and trust me when he stinks, he really stinks.

So they have no weakness?

I'm sure many would disagree but I think the Vikes are better than the Saints. I think Saints offense has a bit more fire power but when looking at offense and defense together I think the Vikes have better overall talent.

I agree that the Vikes are better. They have AP and Favre is playing as well as any QB not named Manning or Brady.
For an offense that's supposed to be so explosive, the Saints pass offense is only 6th in the league. I know that's good, but for a team who is going to need to throw it to win the whole thing, that isn't all that great.

Honestly i'd rather try and defend the Saints than I would the Vikings.

I'm not sure which team is better. The Saints have the firepower to put pressure on your secondary and beat you there even if that's generally considered a team strength. They blitz more than the Vikes do, because they have to (not as much talent), and make their living on turnovers and scoring on defense.

Frankly, I'd rather play the Vikes in the playoffs and trust that our run defense is solid enough to slow their running game. The Vikes intermediate pass defense is vulnerable if you can manage to stay in the game with them long enough without any success running the ball. Better competition would have made them pay for having Antoine Winfield on the bench for 5 weeks, too.

Get back to me once we demonstrate that we can handle an interior blitz on passing downs and I'd agree.

I think we do a good job at picking up the blitz when teams blitz their front 7 but when teams blitz a DB is when we get ate up.

Its like Romo doesn't account for it.

Denver killed us when they would blitz their DB's.

I heard a rumor that Romo walked up to a media member after the Raider game and said, "yeah we won, but..." and took off running.. Anyone else hear this?

Funny if true but whomever he said that to would have had it on twitter, facebook, his/her own personal blog, the newspaper's blog, a postcard to mom, the refrigerator and everywhere else it could have been posted.

Can we please get Felix Jones a Julius Jones type of role in this offense? He is better than Julius and he has come a long way as a blocker since early in the year. Its time to let him do his thing.

Been saying that since last year...

Im still upset with the Commanders losing. Its definetely bittersweet but more bitter than sweet.

That would have been nice but now we gotta beat em both.

Speaking of down the stretch, did anyone notice how a lot of teams picked up their play? Its about that time of year.

Vikings, Chargers, Titans and Packers. We'll be saying the same about the Cowboys after Sunday.

This was a good post.

Our backs and guards don't pickup the random ILB blitzes, either. Romo doesn't identify blitzes right all the time, and our OL don't rotate properly for the CB blitzes. We're probably not all that bad statistically, but this is a team with a QB who makes quick reads and has a quick release, and we've got playmakers all over the field. We should be backing off anybody who tries to blitz us instead of watching teams come in with game plans based around taking advantage of our interior line protection.
