1) The Cowboys went into Carolina, faced the league's third best defense, and put up 395 yards of total offense... first team in 10 games to gain over 300 against them... they faced the league's fourth best run defense, and put up 215 yards rushing...
When this offense is clicking, the Boys can play with anybody... anybody...
2) Julius Jones has now played in 20 games for the Cowboys, starting in 18 of them, and has already recorded the 3rd and 4th most productive rushing games in the 45 year history of the team... I'd really, really love to see what he could do behind a quality offensive line...
3) I had some serious Charles Haley flashbacks watching DeMarcus Ware...
4) Whatever his flaws might be, Drew Bledsoe has been Captain Comeback for the Cowboys this year... he threw a TD pass with 3:06 left to beat the Chargers, he threw a TD pass with 1:51 left to beat the Niners, he led the team to the game winning FG in overtime against the Giants, he threw a TD pass with 3:04 left against the Iggles to set up Roy Williams' game-winning interception return... then in the last 2 weeks, he's thrown a TD pass with 22 seconds left to beat the Chiefs, and another with 24 seconds left to beat the Panthers...
Ain't no quit in Drew, or in this team...
5) For a guy who can't cover, Roy Williams sure does seem to make an inordinate number of plays in the passing game... in 63 games for the Cowboys, he now has 12 interceptions and 25 passes defensed... factor in that he's often not dropping back in coverage (they blitz him with some regularity), and those numbers are a bit more impressive...
6) Terence Newman certainly deserved to be at least an alternate at CB, it's a travesty that he wasn't... once again against Carolina, he was TOUGH...
7) It was nice to see Mat McBriar break out of his recent funk... he was an effective weapon in this game...
8) The only thing wrong with the defense these days is Anthony Henry is dinged up... their struggles started about the same time he started limping... to me, this is a testament to how well he was playing before he got hurt...
