  • In an 8 game dress rehearsal, JG went 5-3 and was within a real place kicker of going 7-1 easy....   I liked what I saw. If Jerry keeps him on as HC, this is one fan that won't be disappointed at all.
  • Bye Roy... Please hookem out of VR quickly.
  • Barron... How you managed to remain on the roster for the full season truly baffles me to no end. Please dry clean the jerseys before you turn them back in.
  • Choice & Jones as our 1 2 punch in 2011. Whatcha say? I see a winning formula.
  • Although I missed the game (traveling back home from NYE festivities), I heard McGee looked decent. Sounds as though we may have at least found a suitable backup.
  • Thank goodness that we will no longer have to endure the pain of watching Ball run around the middle of the field like an ant in a sugar jar.
  • Witten is still a stud.
  • Free is the only face I care to see return to the offensive line. I'm sure the perennial pro-bowler Gurode will be back... Color me not impressed.
  • The offseason will undoubtedly be very busy. This board is also going to be buzzing with interesting and funny thoughts. I look forward to the laughs. :starspin
  • Hot buttered Dezcorn for everyone every game next year. :D

With 7 games with a 2nd string QB and 1 game as a 3rd stringer. Plus a beat up WR corps and no OL help at all.

McGee did not look good, but he can run OK, and he finally threw some decent passes to Witten at the end.

He has some good skills, but he was very inaccurate under pressure, was too late with some reads, and he was far too quick to run sometimes -- sort of like Aikman as a rookie in that regard.

No doubt. 7-1 easily with a real kicker. 5-3 without your starter is nothing to shake a stick at. His charisma is evident. He knows how to deal with people whether it's the media, Jerry, or the player that needs a swift kick to get realigned. I'm really impressed by his 8 week stint. Thank goodness he got that chance to open some eyes (mine included).

Very encouraging observations Adam. Thanks man. At the very least, we have a kid on our hands that can be groomed to be a very serviceable #2 for years to come (possibly #1.. you never know).

these are the things i think are incorrect...

i know you love some Choice but i fear our runners are very average and we need to go get "the guy".....Felix is a great utility player but i think Choice is what we have been using him as a good #3

As long as Felix gets the majority of the touches and Choice gets around 10 touches a game, then yes.. 1 2 punch indeed.

I respect the fact that you guys don't care for Choice but... Give this guy a full off-season of work in a role that allows him to showcase his talent and he will make you a believer.

60/40, 70/30, 55/45.. I don't really care how they split it. If you go with a nice combination of those two backs and mix in some new blood as the short yardage/goal line specialist, good things will happen.

McGee was fine w/ his throws. He was a little behind on a few slants though.

And as per usual w/ the young ones, needs work on his reads

Roy had 5 drops on one play

Sorry. I think we should have tried to go 1-15 to get a better draft pick. One of the things I believe as a fan of this team that is paramount to everything else is losing on purpose to land "elite" talent that hasn't taken a snap in the NFL.

Losing is the only way. Why can't we be more like the Buffalo Bills???

in before butthurt "fans" try to defend their idiotic stance

Don't care for Choice?

I was one that lobbied that he should be getting more carries all season, and just said i'd like him to get 10 touches a game next year.

I think he's a good back.. but he doesn't have the talent that Felix has.

McGee didn't look good and he will never be anything more than a #3 QB. It was a wasted draft pick, live with it.

Yeah. He appears to have a little 4th quarter game winning blood in him. Very raw but he has done that twice in as many games... I'm not saying he's the next John Elway.. Don't misconstrue. I'm just saying there may be something very good there that can turn out to be pretty amazing with more grooming and patience (which I know many fans lack ;) )

hilarious.....5 drops!!!!!

sad but true
anyone but roy would have caught the 5th bobble and taken it to the house, but roy has offended the football gods with his wade like lack of taking responsibility
or maybe he just stinks

I'll agree that they're very different in their skill sets. That's pretty much where it stops. I don't care to debate who the better back is. They're different...... I just want to see both of them contributing next year. Period.

Im sure we will see both contribute next year. No doubt.

Oh, and lol at the morons thinking that Roy Williams is supposed to catch a bobbled ball while attempting to avoid tacklers at full speed. Seriously hope you guys are just making a funny.
