I want to see Dez, Williams, Murray, Escobar, and Hanna all on the field at the same time. It's obvious this team is trying to give Romo as many weapons as they can. Like he asked for. This team is steadily getting younger and faster.

We also shored up the interior offensive line. I think Free will be gone, and I think that the front office will be bringing in a vet RT like Winston or Clabo to compete at RT with Parnell. May the best man win.

We must address the defensive line in free agency this and next year, and definitely in next years draft. I do like the promising young players we have on the DL in Bass, Price, Lissemore, and Crawford. A lot of us are forgetting that Brian Price was signed this offseason. I truly think he's going to be productive for us as long as he's healthy. He was considered a top DT prospect coming into the NFL a couple years back. If anyone can get his best out of him, Rod Marinelli will.

Also, Danny Coale and Matt Johnson will practically be rookies this year, just with a year of NFL knowledge.

I know I'm in the minority, but I do like the way this draft is shaping up. We have a good competition at the safety positions. We look to finally have a real NFL center. You might not like the trade or the pick we got him with, but the bottom line is that offensive linemen were flying off the board early in this draft, so the Cowboys were smart and took the guy they wanted.

Remember losing out on Unger? Didn't happen this year. We got our guy. Whether it was the guy you wanted doesn't matter. Garrett and Callahan see something they like in him, and there's a lot to like.

Give me a backup RB and maybe a young DL and OL project late in this draft and in UDFA and I'll be happy.

I'll add my random thoughts:

I don't have a problem with the draft. I'm on board with trading back to 31 to get Frederick. He was the highest rated interior OL outside of the two once in a decade players. With the mini-run on OL by the Giants and Bears, I'm surprised Frederick was still there at 31. People are kinda hypocrites. Everybody complains that the front office's priority is not interior OL, but they made it abundantly clear that it is. They didn't bite on a guy they had highly rated in Floyd because they made getting the best possible interior OL a top priority. On top of that, they got an extra 3rd rounder out of it. And people still complain?

And I don't wanna hear the arguments. It's simple. Our top priority was interior OL. The only guys we had rated higher than Frederick were definitely Cooper and Warmack and maybe Fluker. Frederick was the highest rated guy at #18. We could've have picked him there. Instead we flipped the pick and got an extra 3rd rounder and still got him.

I'm not disappointed that we went TE in round 2, but I'm disappointed that we've done this two other times in the recent past and it never panned out. If it doesn't pan out this time, it can't be the players' faults.

Add the WR in the 3rd. I like that we're giving Romo weapons. People act like we're stacked at offensive skill positions but we're not. We had a star in Dez and a reliable vet in Witen. Romo makes the rest of the guys look much better than they really are. We needed a highly rated TE and WR, and we got both.

I still think we need more OL. It looks like it'll have to come in free agency. No point surrounding Romo with weapons when he doesn't have time to throw to them. Hopefully the discipline and intelligence of Frederick will whip the other guys into shape. You need a smart guy running the OL, and I think he can be that. Smith is a super athletic and talented LT, but I don't think he'll be the leader that Frederick will be. But we definitely need a veteran RT and probably still another G. I'd rather Frederick play C since I trust his intelligence more than anyone else's.

As far as the defense goes, I'm not too worried. Our guys are getting older but they'll be fine this year. The talent is there. Health and age are the concerns. The only part of the defense that is an uncertainty is the S position. The reason I'm not so concerned about the lack of additions to the defense is because this is an offensive league now. We've seen elite QBs win with mediocre defenses. I think our defense is at least as good as some teams with elite QBs who always threaten for a Super Bowl. The only way we'll win a Super Bowl is if Romo can play at a Brady/Rodgers/Peyton level, and the only way to see if he can play at that level is to get him some protection and weapons.
