Uconn head coach said recently on local radio that when he coached in the NFL it was a common practice to steal opponents signals. Ironically he coached 3 years under Tom Coughlin.

That has Bellichick, Saban, Coughlin into this habit.

Bill Parcells the teacher?

I have no doubt it happens. I can't remember who was the first coach to start covering his mouth when calling plays. For some reason I think it was Mike Holmgren in Green Bay, but it probably started before that.

It seems as if most are of the opinion that stealing play calls is not the big concern. It is stealing plays using someone with a video camera on the other teams sidelines to do it.

Of course teams try and swipe signals, etc.

But if you get caught, pay the piper.

Big difference in reading lips and wire tapping.

Patriots have taken it to the extreme.
