It is no coincidence that the Cowboys ascended to become one of the top defenses in the NFL when Gregory played all the games in 2018. Despite the praise heaped on Lawrence, he cannot do it alone. People get hung up on Gregory's suspensions and forget just how good he is. Just go back and watch the tape from the New Orleans game last year. Yes, Gregory made some mistakes on the Saints' lone TD drive. But he played in Drew Brees' face the whole game, and was a huge factor in shutting down the top offense in the NFL

With Gregory out indefinitely, the Cowboys need top level play from the right DE if the defense is going to get back to playing great. This is where Robert Quinn comes into play. He may be the difference in the Cowboys getting to the playoffs vs the Cowboys being a Super Bowl team. If the Cowboys get BOTH Quinn and Gregory back before the playoffs, the defense will take a huge step forward. But for now, expect a qualitative difference in how the Cowboys play defense with Robert Quinn on the field. He's a difference maker in 2019, the same way Gregory was a difference maker last season.

*what's the latest skinny on the ol' former& missed #94 ,anyway?,,, Last I'd heard from this here very site, was that he'd not even filed to be reinstated at the first opportunity he was able to,,,?

I'm really looking forward to seeing the return of Robert Quinn and am faithfully hoping he'll add something special to our pass rush. As far as Randy Gregory is concerned, there's no doubt but what it's high time for him to overcome his dependency on marijuana as a cure-all for his seemingly endless troubles. At some point, willpower must take command over his cravings if he's ever to live a successful life and career.

Suffice it to say that many here will be pulling for him, while others have seemingly abandoned their caring. Let's hope your recovery is a lasting one, before it's your last hope for a successful return to pro football, sir. Good luck overcoming your struggle, Randy. Clearly, the time to do so is now.

I will be unable to watch and see him in action so I am hopeful that he causes some problems for the pathetic dolphins

Stephen:“It is my understanding that he may have filed for reinstatement,” Jones said. “And then it’s just time that we don’t control in terms of when they ultimately make a decision.

Yep, although discussed in previous posts last year, I thought Gregory’s performance down the last stretch of games and into the playoffs exceeded Lawrence’s in rushing the passer. I felt the same about Chido outplaying Byron( I mean his lack of int’s is a given but in addition...)the last few games and into the playoffs. To me, Lawrence and Jones level of play declined greatly toward the end of the year.

COPY& Thanks, brother-man!

* Although, jr.'s reply to the question is just about as clear as mud, when you think about it.

I'm excited to see what Quinn can bring to this defense and specifically the pass rush. Crawford was a non-factor out there (putting it mildly) and I hope that Quinn is the pass rusher that we desperately need out there.

As for Gregory? His circumstances continue to frustrate. I'm not sure why his reinstatement process was timed the way it's been. The NFL has a fixed calendar when they play their games.

There is a reason the Cowboys signed Quinn. Not sure what the status is of Gregory but in the meantime the pass rush will get a boost with Quinn.

Did you really just go there?

You mean Randall?
