Twitter: Randy Gregory feeling close to 100 percent

I feel like this same tweet comes out every week and each time Randy Gregory then tells the media he's been full strength for a while, that it's mental. What's the deal?

It will be good to see the Gregory that was playing before he got hurt.

Let's see if he can show enough in next five games to make Hardy less of a need. I'm not anti Hardy by any means, but if Gregory is solid, having Hardy on an expensive contract will only stagnate his potential

That's a small frame to be playing everydown in the NFL.

If you sign Hardy for 3 years then that would give Gregory a lot of time to gain size.

It sounds he also had a shoulder injury, too, separate from the ankle injury. Or did I miss a report on it.

The thing is, Gregory himself has said in more than one interview that he is 100% and its all mental.

Some guys add size pretty quickly with nfl off seasons. Ware and Lawrence both got massive in their second years. Lawrence looked like a child last year compared to the tackles he was going up against

When you get injured, it's not easy to trust that you can move like you're used to at first. I've sprained my ankle before playing basketball and even though it was near 100%, I didn't trust myself to cut and move and jump like I could have because the mental part has a fear of hurting myself again.

It's also tough to beef up during the season. Most guys lose weight as the season goes along. I remember they asked Bradie James about hitting hard and he said that the hardest hitting occurred in the first week of training camp because guys are not only fresh, but they are jacked up from the offseason. Then as the season progresses, they get lighter and they are not as fresh and not hitting as hard.

I wasn't asking whats the deal with needed to get back to 100% menatally. I've been injured enough to understand that too. I was asking what the deal was with the fact we see this tweet weekly with the same comments from Gregory about the issue being mental, weekly. If he was 100% weeks ago, which he was according to him, why do we keep needing to be told he's 100%.

It's just weird is all. I am not attributing any grander scheme or agenda. It's just a weird situation.

Now get that QB and give him a purple nerple after you deposit him on his back!!!

94 has a speed move and his counter to deal with them setting hard outside is to shove his inside fist in their chops and rock them back to the QB. Once he polishes up that technique and learns to shed unbalanced linemen he is going to be a force.
