So I just read that Seattle has re-signed Josh Gordon in anticipation of him being reinstated......again. This guy has been suspended and reinstated more times than I can remember.

Here we sit without any news or movement on RG's reinstatement. I am confused why a bad guy like Gordon seems to be able to be reinstated at will, despite an obvious history of relapsing time and time again.

Now in all honesty, I have not been following RG's reinstatement saga all that closely, but from what I have gathered, the kid really wants to play again and has supposedly cleaned up his act.

It makes no sense to me why RG is stuck in this NFL limbo while a guy like Gordon seems to have an infinite amount of "Get out of NFL Jail Free" cards.

Because Seattle is a 'woke' organization that kneels before Goodell whereas Jerry Jones doesn't, hence the double standard.

For the record on Josh Gordon: "Gordon, 29, has been suspended eight times overall by either his team or the NFL, including six times since 2013, mostly for violating the league's policies on banned substances. Gordon signed with Seattle midway through last season after he was released by New England."

On December 16, 2019, Gordon was suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs and substance abuse, his fifth suspension for violating the policy.

Unreal

oy vey.
Randy was likely not as compliant as Gordon.
Gordon was not popped with any failed weed tests.
He was suspended for a PED and likely complied and has passed many tests since then.
Randy has apparently had some set backs including possibly not wanting to deal with testing at some point in the duration of his suspension.

Most things aren't conspiracies.

We didn't hear much about RG for a long time and this only surfaced in the last couple months.
Use your adult brain and ask yourself why the delay in requesting reinstatement?
Why is the NFLPA not pushing this harder?

RG will likely be back if he is serious about getting back.

Gordon fwiw is not back and likely faces an additonal suspension when any news is announced.

The way that I see it? Gregory is lying to himself amd us, as fans.

IF Gordon gets reinstated, there's no other way around it. Unless I am missing something, that is a clear indication that Gregory is NOT where he needs to be for reinstatement.

That's the only plausible point, I believe.

thank you, sir. may i have another........................goodell is not done spanking randy for making him look foolish having reinstated him three times already. and he can no longer suspend him for pot. ergo, he's screwing with his mind and his wallet until he finally decides to reinstate him. but gordon will come first just to rub it in randy's face. randy will just have to grin and bear until he's allowed back in the fold.

In order to form an informed opinion of this I would need to be informed and so far the only one is Gregory doing any informing and I think he's a total loser and whining about his predicament that he is 100% accountable and responsible for and his BS excuses for getting repeatedly nailed by the tests are just that, BS.

How many players do you think smoke weed and are smart enough and care enough about their career to beat the tests? 100's? That would be my guess.

It's not about weed, it's about being a tool and getting repeatedly caught when he knows they're watching him. He either doesn't care or is too stupid.

As far as that conspiracy against the team, that's BS too. Gregory isn't going to make or break this team and this specific owner has shown the willingness to take chances on every kind of character including those with alleged DV history. He thinks he's above poking the tiger but this tiger pokes back.

If you think it's different because it's Booger and his penchant for pushing the envelope, I agree with that. SEA doesn't have a history like Booger does and it's been going on for some time because every disgruntled player or one caught breaking rules seems to get tied to the Cowboys for future employment, why is that?

I think that's definitely part of it as well as some details that we are not aware of between the NFL office and Gregory. We do not know the exact conditions of reinstatement the last time.

But let's be honest about this, does this moron deserve any more chances? How many players have done what he's done before even coming into the league? Any clown that tests positive the week of the draft is as red as the flag can get.

Plus it got out that Randy Gregory once endorsed hydroxychloriquine, so his return to football is DOA.

More so than that this isn't about Dallas.
RG being granted immediate reinstatement would be BAD for Dallas.
They don't have a roster spot for a guy who can't even practice with the team until week 1 and has been off the field out of shape for over a year.

RGs agent and the NFLPA are the ones who represent him to the NFL.

Dallas is just his team and has no immediate role other than to maintain his rights.

Randy could still be failing tests
The team should know if he has
But Gordon has been suspended 5 times and is way past what was suppose to be a lifetime ban

There is no lifetime ban.
It's always allowed people to ask for reinstatement.
Gordon is STILL suspended and all this crying on this thread is just him moving into the same position RG has BEEN in.
A suspended player signed to a team.

The decision is likely about what have you done lately.
BOTH players have been suspended to the point where each suspension is open-ended with requests for reinstatement.

Gordon was last popped for PEDs.
PEDs are handled under a separate policy than recreational drugs.

I feel for RG in that weed is now legal in many places and probably should be in all 50 states.
But it doesn't take much effort to pass these tests.
People have been doing it in all walks of life for 50 years.

Most situations are not that complicated. Often the simplest and most obvious answer is the case. He was supposed to come back last year but totally disappeared off the face of the earth. Now his reinstatement is dragging out. The most logical explanation is that he has not done everything needed for the NFL to reinstate him. Whatever he has been up to for the last year obviously has not satisfied the people who make these decisions. Don’t buy some grand conspiracy against him or the Cowboys. The lawsuits would be flying if that was the case. All of this is due to Gregory and his failures. Hopefully he gets himself straight one day.

There must be more to this story than we know. Of course we have to wait to see if Gordon is reinstated. It seems like the league is more focused on other matters right now, like how to alienate their fans.

My question is, what if Gregory does come back. Does he even get to play and whose spot does he take? I guess the question is, do they need him? Missing training camp is really going to hurt his chances to make the team.

:clap::clap::clap:Not sure why fans/posters can't see this. It's not hard......during his last episode, not one person stood up in his defense. Not NFLPA, Jerry, Stephen, even his own Atty. It was clear to me he was trying to force his way back w/o following guidelines set by the league. I honestly think Jerry and Stephen are this close to moving on. Only reason he's now still on the team coz he's not costing us anything.
