Ok. For some reason I thought he could apply in November or 1 year after his last game. I remember he got to play in the last game and got a sack but was unable to play in the playoff game.

Yes that is when they suspended him again, but something did not seem right about all of that.
All I remember this past November is he could have applied for reinstatement then, but they said they decided to wait until the league year stated in March to apply. They did not want to disrupt a playoff push and the team at the time.

I believe this was in a tweet that linked an article. I do not do twitter so I can't find any tweets to confirm this.

How ever it works I hope he is cleaned up and gets back in there. Wonder how all this works with his contract. Does his suspended year and time still count toward the length of the 4 year contract. Hope he don’t think he is gonna get a contract any bigger than his original deal when his rookie deal is done.

Good question, and since he was suspended and did not get paid, there are probably contract exceptions. Not like when a player is on IR, but there must be some contract clauses.

He has only fulfilled one of his years. Still has to fulfill the other 3. There will probably be adjustments as far as the league minimum changes.

So because you are a could quit and have no idea of what this person has struggled with in their life it gives you the right to call him dumb for having a problem with depression and substance abuse? I take personal offense to this being a recovering addict. You sir are a grade a word I cant say here for fear of being benched.

Martavis Bryant was suspended for a year as most know, and that year was added onto his rookie scale contract.

Instesd of becoming an unrestricted free agent after four years, they become exclusive right free agents, which gives the team full control over the subject player.
