Randy Gregory post practice interview

Ware doesn't play for us anymore. So if he doesn't like it then he can get over it.

Exactly and we don't retire numbers. Yeah, there are numbers we're reluctant to re-use, but those are very very rare. It'd be different if we planned on retiring the number 94 when Ware's career was over, but we aren't, so we all need to just get over it.

I'm not upset they gave him "Wares" number because its not his. It was given to him because they wanted him to be their next Haley, who the number is really honoring. Now it's a symbol of how highly they value Gregorys potential and what they think he can become. It's not disrespectful to Ware because he's still playing anymore than it would be if he had retired. It's a sign of encouragement and faith in Gregory and nothing more. It's a double edged sword though because it can put a lot of pressure on a player, but from the sound of it, Gregory isn't bothered by that.

I agree and thought it a tad disrespectful while Ware is still in the league.

Not even. Dude needs to approach it that way. For him......it is just another number. Right now.

I can appreciate that. No disrespect. Ware is on anither team. it all moves on.

I like the kid so far. Seems sincere, genuine. Hope he pans out.

As for the #94- doesn't really bother me right now. Ware is still in the league, and playing for another team. I might feel differently if say, Ware was retired and played every game of his pro career as a Cowboy, but that's not the case.

Try playing here in South Fla. It''ll be in the 90's with 99% humidity till end of Oct.

Also live in Fla... Even when you have been here for awhile you need to pace yourself and realize that the heat will humble you..

To me there are only three untouchable numbers. 12, 22 and 74. Sure we had a ton of other great, legendary players. But those three are on a whole other level. Ware isn't even close IMO
