Randy Gregory Time!

Reddy, what in God's name does that have to do with the OP?

Pretty much, I'm just looking at his potential to contribute to this run. Will be a bummer if he's unavailable next year but I can even begin to concern myself with that.

Well aware of the caveats and conventional wisdom, so no need to offer it as something not considered.

That says who else is pumped???

I am too!!!! I was thinking a few weeks ago (back in November) what we could move we could make on the DLine. I even thought of bringing back Gregg Hardy- (but that would not workout). And now to be able to get Randy back for the playoffs, although unproven, is the spark this defense needs. I really think this is going to be a big move and put this defense on another level. Our current defense reminds me so much of the 91/92.

Pumped about what.......a chronic addict who hasn't played much in over a year and won't have much if any impact on the field...

Your username should explain it all for you. We're the number 1 seed. Have two relatively meaningless games and a bye. We're getting a gifted and natural pass rusher for the remainder of the season in the perfect situation for him to work off the rust. The D has been playing extremely well, and seem to be energized by his return. Your take and prediction obviously could be the reality, but as it stands the unknown is exciting.

Same as I'm pumped for a guy plucked off kc's practice squad, a 4th round developmental qb, a 5'8 180 lb undrafted white wr, a 6th round db, and a highly touted first round bust cb turned difference maker. Dunno.

Sackless Gregory plays tonight...hoping for the best.

His first sack on the way...perhaps?

I got sucked back in too. I'm really interested in seeing what sort of impact he can have in these last two games to measure whether or not he can help us in the playoffs rotation.

I'm wondering why nothing offices has been said about his rumored upcoming suspension?
I don't know the leagues policy but is there any other players who are facing a suspension and in the process of an appeal and the information hasn't been made public?

I'm having a hard time believing anything the media reports anymore.

Are we even sure he will be suspended all of next year or is this just another Ian Rappaport type reporting something from a "source".

if Gregory can help the pass rush, even just a little bit, that's great. But I'm not holding my breath.

Enjoy it while you can because the next time that we are likely to see Gregory on the field is 2018.

I WOULD be very pumped if we had any proof he'd be here the next few games. However, I expect the ****'s that occupy the NFL offices to ban him for another year over his evil weed usage any minute now.

Really thought you would be in a better mood considering how well the packers have preformed as of late....:D

Sadly you are probably right about the gregster

Many are getting sucked back in because he's been cleared to play and we're in the playoffs. When it was announced he failed his 3rd drug test most were done with him but months later with him cleared to play and the Cowboys desperate for a pass rush many are warming up to Gregory again. What you learn on these boards is most FANS don't seem to care if a player is a drug user or is accused of domestic violence as long as they can play and help the team on the field. I'm far from "pumped" that Gregory is back because he hasn't done anything since he's been with the team to get me pumped. He's a fresh body and it'll be interesting to see if he shows up at all.

I'm pretty patient and naive so I've been on the roller coaster because I wrote him off last month as well. The unique position we're in with him being cleared now and for this stretch forced my hand though.

It's not necessarily that many of us don't care (though some don't), it's that we really can't do anything about it. I wish we didn't have any drug users on our team or guys that beat up women. But, regardless what I feel about such players, the NFL allows them to play for the team if they meet certain condition, and since I'm not going to abandon my allegiance to the Cowboys, I'm stuck rooting for our team that includes such players. I don't necessarily have to root for them, but I will root if such a player scores a touchdown or sacks the quarterback because I want to see the team succeed.

At least that's my take.

I can't honestly claim to be counting on him to deliver an devastating pass rush but as desperately as we need sacks at this point in time, It'd be much appreciated as this team approaches the playoffs. Some say he's been impressive in practice and it's encouraging. For whatever it's worth, I hope he finds a small way to redeem himself for the mistakes he's made leading up to this point in time. His cause is certainly a desperate one.

This season has been nothing short of magical so were he to come out and finally give the Cowboys watching nation something to cheer about I'd say that is about par for this awesome course we have been on.
