Seems like it is for realz gonna happen. Wouldn't it be great if he turned his life around......
5.5 months after he could have applied for reinstatement, Gregory still in just “on course” to reapply? The dude should have been reinstated already and working out with his teammates.
We don’t know he hasn’t gotten popped for a bad test. I think it is most likely he has not been clean and that is why he is still waiting to file instead of already being reinstated.I guess the gamble Gregory made with himself worked out ok. He made it this far after he could have applied for reinstatement and didn't get popped for a bad test. Who would have thought that possible?
Looks like we'll get a chance to find out if Goodell still hates the Cowboys or if he does right by Gregory and lets him back in. I'd really like to see him at OTA's next month.
So, what's the holdup? Scribes have been harping on that forever now.
All talk and no action . . . sure hope the waiting is worth the results!

Probably has to do with his salary cap slot. So, what's the holdup? Scribes have been harping on that forever now.

Goodell makes a decision in 60 days. Gordon’s situation was a mess. He filed for reinstatement and failed a test after applying. His application got denied and then he was granted reinstatement 3 months later but with an additional 4 game suspension. Prior to returning he voluntarily went back into rehab and I think he was ultimately suspended yet again before needing to be reinstated a year later.Taking a while to reach NFL HQ by car.
Edit: I hope he does it soon though. Goodell seems to drag for a while for these guys who got banned for at least a year. IIRC Gordon had a wait a bit before he was actually reinstated, correct?

If he comes back I think he will be starting on the first rookie contract.
How much is that?
I won't hold my breath waiting for this.
He stayed in rehab longer than he was supposed to. That’s why he’s been waitIngWe don’t know he hasn’t gotten popped for a bad test. I think it is most likely he has not been clean and that is why he is still waiting to file instead of already being reinstated.
What I read into the article is he is finally doing in 2018 what he should have been doing in 2017. This stuff should have already been buttoned upHe stayed in rehab longer than he was supposed to. That’s why he’s been waitIng
Maybe he needed more time. Having been to rehab sometimes you open up stuff that you can’t just leave when your time is up without closing up and getting closure if that makes sense. It leaves you vulnerable to relapseWhat I read into the article is he is finally doing in 2018 what he should have been doing in 2017. This stuff should have already been buttoned up
