Both guys are model citizens compared to Ray Lewis who was arrested on 2 counts of first degree murder and then pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice when his blood soaked suit he was wearing was never found.

Or Leonard Little or Donte Stallworth or so many guys who were allowed to play in the NFL and some (like Jim Brown) voted into the hall of fame.

The NFL handles this all wrong.
Ray Lewis was never tried for Murder since they knew he didn't do it....... he later testified truthfully in the case against his friends........ they were both acquitted of all counts for self-defense... Ray Lewis was never even near trouble again

Both are being treated like criminals for smoking a plant, that many states have legalized, and have been suspended longer than rapist, beaters, and driving while drunk???
Agreed. It outrageous that the League reacts in this way. It needs to be addressed in the next Collective Agreement.

They didn't know he didn't do it. They knew they probably couldn't get a conviction. Big difference. The family of a slain man wants a conviction. So they dropped charges of murder against Ray Lewis in exchange for his testimony against his friend (fall guy).
What innocent man makes his suit vanish that he was wearing the night his friend had to defend him from a bad guy? It makes no sense...

Regardless what he did is worse than Gordon or Gregory self medicating.
Agreed?

And what about the kid Randy Moss messed up? Is Gregory worse than that also?

You watch too much CSI....... what does his suit matter?...... they know he was there....they know who died and they know who defended themselves in Ray's group...... Ray was overcharged at first and they knew it was bs........ so what he didn't immediately put his friends in the middle of things...... that is what friends do

Ray's group were the victims.......the 2 assailants chose the wrong group to attack and paid with their lives......Ray's limo was the one being shot at, not the other way around.......but keep believing your alternative facts

RGregory deserves whatever he gets for being stupid and failing 4-5 tests.....the NFL tests once a year for pot and then it is like Snopp Dogg video for the rest of the year

If it didn't matter than why destroy it?
Let's see 2 men gets stabbed to death and one of the guys who was involved with the altercation destroys his outfit he was wearing...hmm....maybe he got some blood on it? Nah..I destroy my suits after I wear them once also. Who doesn't.

Regardless of the level of guilt Ray Lewis has, the way he reacted to the loss of life that he had some level of involvement in makes him much worse than Randy Gregory smoking pot.
Agreed? You dodge it before.

You know that the prosecutor asked for received two large suitcases from Ray Lewis' girl.......the white suit was always an urban myth that had no bearing on anything......he was wearing a huge fur coat that night as well.......but keep believing the conspiracy theory that he got away with something because of some alleged white suit......like the Kennedy Magic Bullet

Did you say something about Alternative Facts?
Ray Lewis pleaded guilty of obstruction of justice for not turning over his suit.
You are so beat that you are now trying to debate something that isn't even debatable.
And once again you ignore the question and my original point..

So I will ask it again (3rd time)... What's worse, Gregory smoking pot or Ray Lewis being involved in an incident that resulted in murder and then admitting guilt for trying to obstruct justice? Hmm...tough one...

I see this has turned into a morality debate. I know it's silly that these guys' careers are getting derailed for doing something that's considered legal in most states. But at the end of the day, they're adults and they can't seem to stop violating the rules of the company they work for. The main point of my OP was mainly frustration for how useless Gregory has been. Not only is he suspended as regularly as a guy like Josh Gordon, but he also has dealt with injuries to top it off, and worst of all, he's never even shown he's an NFL caliber player. As dumb as Gordon is, he stays healthy and he produces when he plays. Nearly 1,700 yards in 14 games with 5 different QBs for the Cleveland Browns is insane. And it wasn't a fluke since his rookie season was fairly impressive as well. And Ray Lewis? C'mon. Dude's a Hall of Famer. Not only can we not rely on Gregory to get on the field, but we can't rely on him to be productive when he actually is on the field.

Nice story
He plead guilty for lying to the police the first time they questioned him

He turned over his clothes and they were never a big deal to the case.... no one ever accused Ray of striking or stabbing anyone......he only tried to break up the fight .....if you need to call that murder that is on you

read this is you want to stop being wrong

More facts on the Ray Lewis case......the lead Detective says he never should have been charged.....it was politics and celebrity

http://www.ajc.com/news/ray-lewis-atlanta-legacy-not-storied/FFZpIyi9k9m7TJNMmkifKK/

http://www.quintonreport.com/2013/0...lewis-shouldnt-have-been-charged-with-murder/

and yes Gregory and Gordon did more wrong than Ray Lewis
Gregory by smoking pot did more wrong than Ray Lewis who admitted to being guilty for obstructing justice in a double murder investigation? Lewis who was sued and settled a $10 million law suit for one of the boys mothers and $13 million from another boys fiancé while being fined by the league $250k for his involvement.
Explain how Gregory did more wrong than what Lewis did?

Gregory did something against the NFL rules but totally legal in many states. Gregory self medicating is victimless. No one is hurt but his own career.
You backed yourself into this corner. You sound goofy even trying to argue that Gregory has done more wrong than Ray Lewis. Keep trying.

It's not even so much about how guilty or wrong Ray Lewis is...he admits to a certain level of guilt. It's really about how you want to pretend a guy smoking pot is more serious than someone who has pleaded guilty to a serious crime and was fined $250k, and settled 2 multimillion dollar lawsuits for his actions.

No corners here......RGregory broke the rules several times

Ray Lewis tried not snitching on his friends.....that is the code......snitches get stitches.....in the end he testified and his boys were acquitted so go cry about some other thugs that killed attacking someone

You didn't read or can't understand what I posted so we are done here.......buh bye

Snitches get stitches is the code of most of the extremely poor areas in the US and a big reason why they remain extremely impoverished areas. I do find it amusing that the cops speak against it though while maintaining the "thin blue line."

Looking out for your friends is not the same dynamic though.
