Overated piece of trash

Perhaps before you go casting stones at a person you know absolutely nothing about, you take a good long look at yourself in the mirror. As you look, think about ALL of your failures and screw-ups.

Don't stop until you review them all. I bet you'll be there quite a LONG time...just as we all would. None of us are overrated and none of us are trash. It's called life - focus on your own before casting hate.

It is pathetic. The Cowboys haven't had a game day leader since Parcells left. We have been void of solid leadership on the sidelines on game day (player or coach) since 2006.

Truth hurts doesn't it. Having said all of that, I wish you nothing but the best.

Good grief guys. So what if that were Khalil Mack in that situation? He was held, knocked in the back (in the same play), and expressed frustration when there's trash-talking added to it? As he's walking off the field still fuming and frustrated, his coach wants to have a quick chat.

Be honest and real when you answer this question. What good could possibly come from Garrett saying a few things to him? "Hey Randy, you gotta be smart, you can't do that". Or, "Randy, you're better than that, don't let it get to you". And please don't answer with something about being selfish, insubordination, or accountability. Was he guilty of some of that? Yes. But we're talking about a game filled with anger, rage, frustration, and vengeance. Those emotional outbursts are a given. As another member said, that stuff happens all the time.

In regards to him blowing off Garrett, I applaud Gregory for doing that. The best thing Garrett could have done in that situation was to simply leave him alone and let him cool off. Garrett has proven over and over again that he's not capable of reaching a player's emotions. He doesn't motivate, doesn't encourage, and obviously doesn't inspire. It's a collection of words and acts that apparently have no impact on the players or coaches whatsoever. I'm a fan of Garrett as I believe he has nothing but the best intentions. Unfortunately, you can't get a team to the Super Bowl with the power of good intentions.

Did anyone see Garrett try to confront Zeke when he ran a pass pattern out of bounds and cost the team 6 points? Anyone see Garrett having a chat with him after fumbling the ball and he was on the sideline banging his helmet and punching himself? You simply can't have any type of positive impact on a person when they're in a state of anger or rage. Most head coaches know this which is why you don't see Mike Tomlin following Antonio Brown around when he's tossing Gatorade tables, or when Ben's throwing his helmet. As I recall, when Leon Lett crashed the Thanksgiving game many years ago, we didn't see Jimmy Johnson confront him on the field after it happened. Instead, he let him cool off and talked to him in the locker room well after the game was over.

When a person screws up, they know they screwed up. Having someone call them over to state the obvious couldn't possibly result in anything positive or beneficial. And no... Parcells wouldn't have done that either. He might've said a few words within earshot of the offending player, but he was smart enough to know that a little chat session would be meaningless until the player cooled off.

There were probably 20 or more situations like this during that one game. Again, I'm not saying I approve of him costing us 3 points but lighten up. We all knew we were going to lose that game by more than 3 points anyway. I understand his frustration, but I also believe it's a direct result of his passion for wanting to be successful. Passion is an incredible trait to have and is also something that's missing from half the players and the majority of the coaching staff.

Play angry Randy!
