Heck of a southpaw pitcher in his day . Won a CY Young award . One of the best San Diego Padres pitchers / players ever .

It’s shocking in a way that poor franchise hasn’t won one WS like the Mariners and had the distinct bad luck to face one of the greatest teams of all time the 84 Tigers in the WS .

I just skimmed this thread and it read Randy Johnson to me. I was like, way too young!

But yea, I vaguely remember him as a junk ball pitcher, good one at that. He was a bit before I took a serious interest in baseball.
