I would agree with him that there is no need to rush to judgement, and if the media was smart, I'd expect them to do the same. The woman claims he did not allow her to seek medical attention - which might be code for "nothing happened, and I have no bruises to show off." You never know - these athletes are targets for stuff like that.

At the very least I'd expect them to give him the same "why is he in Florida on a bye week" treatment that Romo got - especially because Boston to Florida is a much bigger trip than Dallas to Mexico.
