Did you see Randy Moss's TD catch? I rewatched it a few times. My conclusion is that should have been pass interference or an illegal pick. It can also be flagged for blocking before the ball got there.

Its funny that were the only team that gets called for that play.

I saw NE use a screen to their receivers and not one was called for blocking before the ball gets there.

I think Austin is the only one that gets called for that penalty. His been called 3 times. Yet every team in the NFL gets away with it.

Gotta disagree on this one.

Miles starts his blocks before the ball gets to the WR, which is a penalty. On the Moss TD, Harvin didn't make contact with a Packer until after Moss got the ball.

I dont agree with the Moss TD but when I saw the Patriots screen pass to Woodhead, i was wondering the same thing. They had a 4 WR set and the other 3 WRs were already blocking before Brady ever threw it.

Then its an illegal pick. Because Harvin went and shielded Moss's defender from getting to Moss.

We got called for that same exact thing with Witten and TO back then. Same thing happened except that we got flagged.

How is it illegal if no contact was made until after Moss got the ball in his hands? Refs don't penalize intent on these plays, meaning there must be contact made BEFORE the ball arrives for it to be a penalty.

The refs have been scum lately, but this is one call I believe they've gotten right.

It looked clean to me. He didnt contact Moss' defender and he didnt block the guy covering him until after Moss had caught the ball. GB just played it poorly.

Pats TE Hernandez used the exact same move Miles Austin did last week, extended his arm, made contact and then went the opp way to make the catch for a big play.

Didnt see a flag on him though. And it was the longest play of the game for the Pats yesterday.

It should or could have been called but it is a subjective foul. Had the receiver fallen down (even on purpose) case closed. Austin stiff armed the defender and he fell down. Better opportunistic actor. It is not like the ref who called the foul against Austin was the same ref who let Moss get away with it. I am of the mindset that when we play more disciplined there will be less focus on us. We have been making our own bad luck or lopsided calls to some degree. But the refs are highly inconsistent or go from one extreme to another, without a doubt. It is no a conspiracy against the Cowboys though.

I know, the NFL helps out everyone but the Cowboys.

What all you conspiracy theorists forget though is that if, in fact, the NFL officials are helping out one team, another team gets screwed. And guess what? It wasn't the Cowboys the Vikings were playing, it was the Packers.

Maybe it's just the Cowboys AND Packers that the NFL is biased against.

But wait, what about all those other games where our fans claim another team gets away with something the NFL doesn't let us get away with? What about the opposing teams in those games? Don't they get screwed in the deal?

This conspiracy is apparently more widespread than we realized. The NFL is apparently biased against a lot of teams who get screwed anytime a team gets away with something the Cowboys aren't allowed to get away with.

Lots and lots of victims.

There's tons of that.

What has been ignored in the thread is that Moss did get a PI at the end of the first half on a 50 or so yd pass that would have set up a FG, at least.

The officiating is just not good and it's not consistent. But the idea that there's a widespread refs' bias against the Cowboys is silly.

You should get a prize. It's amazing how few people are willing to accept that offiating errors are generally the culprit, not a conspiracy against the Cowboys.

OF course, the other factor is that Cowboy fans are particularly sensative to calls that go against them, so many conjure up the anti-Cowboy bias in their heads.

There you go. That damn officiating crew. They can't consistently get their anti-Cowboy bias right.
